I have done a bit of scrapping lately and even better I finished them - NO unfinished LO's!!! LOL I scrapped the first 2 LO's at last month's Simply Crafty. 
After working on a few crafty projects this weekend I was still feeling motivated - so scrapped these 2 LO's.
I had a busy and crafty weekend! It started Friday night when mum rang to ask if I could help her make some cupcake toppers for a party she was going to on Saturday (nothing like last minute ideas! LOL) So I set up the table and we went through some ideas - deciding on a butterfly / scallped circle design. It took up longer to decide on the design and colours than it did to make the toppers :) 
Mum sent me this photo of the toppers and cakes(sorry for the dodgy phone picture LOL). 
Saturday we went to a friend's for a BBQ - it was wonderful to catch up with friends we haven't seen for ages :) I made this card for the 3 year old birthday boy - quick and easy.
Sunday Tanya and I headed over to Cassie's for a Stampin' Up party. We made this cute Easter card and basket.
In between all the socialising I managed to add the finishing touches onto the 2 LO's I scrapped at last month's Simply Crafty, plus scrapped 2 more LO's - will share pics tomorrow :)
Like I mentioned in a previous post - I am still reading faster than I am blogging, still trying to catch up sharing what I have read :)
This is the 2nd book of the Claire De Lune series - another great suspense / mystery story!
I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book! I couldn't put it down - there were lots of LOL and thought provoking parts. I haven't seen the movie yet, but it is on my "Must See" list!!
This book is a spin off of the "Vampire Academy" series and it was just as fantastic as the other books!! Looking forward to reading the next book in the series!

This month's embellishment swap theme at Simply Crafty was "school". I made these fabric / ribbon awards / medallions - I think they turned out pretty cute :)
I spend a lovely day scrapping, swapping cards & embellishments and chatting with friends at Simply Crafty today. I stopped socialising long enough to get 2 LO's scrapped :) Will share pics of my LO and swaps soon.
There are lots of things making me smile this week....
A phone call from Cody & Lacey telling me how surprised and excited they were to get my present and how cute they thought their new lunch sacks were. There was also lots of chatting about school, horses / pony club, birthday parties and being flower girls for an upcoming wedding.

A message and photo from my friend Nettie saying how happy she was to receive her surprise parcel. She said that both girls loved their beanies and Anna wouldn't take hers off! LOL
A new coffee mug for work (I don't drink tea or coffee, but I do drink lots of cold water) found while wandering around Spotlight. I also found some cute scrapping goodies in the bargain bins :)
A bright, new bag (Craig calls it my hippy bag) brought on sale.

I seem to be reading quicker than I am blogging about what I am reading LOL I am spending time reading before work and during my lunch times - gives me lots of time to read :)
This is the 2nd book in the series and I thought it was as good as the first book! I'm now on the search for book 3 (and book 4 when it's published this year).
Another werewolf themed book - but more of a mystery than about the supernatural theme. I enjoyed this book and was looking forward to reading the 2nd book :)
This months card swap theme for Simply Crafty is girls cards. I loved the horse card layout (in the previous post) - so decided to use it for these cards.
I wanted to share a close up of the cupcake - I used glossy accent on the cherry and glued some beads (fiddly, but end result was worth it) on for sprinkles.
Just a quick share today - I made this card for my SIL birthday. It's a includes her favourite colour and animal - so I hope she likes it :)
I've been meaning to share this idea ages!! It's simple and I'm sure a lot of scrappers are already doing this...but still worth sharing :) I have an ideas book - just random sketches, LO / card ideas and craft / OTP ideas. I keep it in my scrap bag and use it whenever I need inspiration / ideas. I'm not the only one to use it- the girls often ask to use it :) I just used a (approx 6x6 sized) notebook and printed out ideas I found online or in magazines. (To save paper when printing pics from online - I would just save pics as a word document till I had A4 sheet filled, then printed it) Helen recently shared a clever idea of using art journals (which have thicker paper - so less warping of pages from glue). 
I finished another beanie this week! I made 3 other beanies for my friend Nettie and her 2 girls last year (posted here) and wanted to make one for Dennis (Nettie's hubby) too. After a search I found a more masculine pattern (and used variegated wool again LOL). There is a cold snap happening in Holland at the moment - so these will come in very handy :) Better hurry up and post them this week!!
We went out to dinner with Craig's workmates to a Mexican themed restaurant last night. There were a few drinks, yummy meals and lots of laughing & chatting :)
I picked the first cucumber from the vege garden today :) 
I have been reading every chance I get at the moment and I'm a bit behind with sharing the latest books I have finished. "Where the Heart Is" is my favourite movie, so I was very excited to find a copy of the book in a HUGE bag of books a friend gave me last year. This book was very similar to the movie (quotes, storyline, etc) and I LOVED it - definitely one of my favourite books now!!! 
I brought "The Golden Compass" from an op-shop last and thought it would be a change from all the vampire books I have been reading :) I really enjoyed this book and now am on the search for the other 2 books in the trilogy. 
I made this card for Bella's 1st birthday. For some reason I seemed to struggle with this card - I was tempted to throw it in the bin and start again a number of times. I did pull it apart twice and add / make changes and I'm happy with the end result :)
