ANZAC Day

Craig, his mum and Clay headed off to the Anzac parade this morning.  Clay was super excited to see the parade and wave his flag :)

A police officer was talking to the kids and asked Clay if he would like to hop on his bike - didnt need to ask Clay twice! LOL

After the parade and wrearh laying they waited for the RAAF plan to fly by - a C17A Globemaster.

Skate Park Adventures

I made a rookie parent mistake today - we took Clay to a new park that I hadn't checked out /seen before.  The mistake?? It was scooter / bike track that was more suited to bigger / older kids.  If Clay had have stuck to the smaller bumpy section it would have been ok, but he wanted to go down the big hill that even the bigger kids weren't brave enough to try!! After a minor heart attack, we packed up and headed to flatter ground at the Botanic Gardens LOL

At the gardens we went for a walk on a new pathway and found the Japanese garden section - very pretty!

From there we walked across to the Chinese garden section.

The train was running again, but we didn't have a ride.

We love our family adventures :)

The Easter Bunny Has Been!

Clay woke up very excited and asked if the Easter bunny had been :)  We found that the bunny had left an egg hunt, so Clay grabbed his basket and followed the signs and footprints:)

When we got to his room he spotted the bunny prints on the floor (he had completely missed them when he got of bed LOL) - love the expression of pure excitement on his face :)  Then he spotted the basket of goodies - some chocolate, a new wallet, cars and a bunny shaped blackboard - spoilt!

We had our tradition of pancakes for breakfast, then spent the rest of the day just chilling at home together.

Did the Easter bunny visit you?

Fishing Fun

We packed up our fishing gear and headed to Elliott Heads to spend the afternoon with Ma Ma and the cuzzies today.  Craig did the most fishing, but didn't catch anything.  The boys had a wonderful time looking in rock pools for crabs, splashing in puddles and building sandcastles.  We did attempt to get the boys set up for fishing, but snagged lines, near misses of getting hit with flying hooks and kids constantly winding their lines in made it short lived LOL  It was a fantastic afternoon together before the cuzzies head home tomorrow.

Easter Hat Parade #2

Clay had his 2nd Easter hat parade at kindy today - I think this hat is super cute :)

He brought home his Easter goodies too - a wooden bunny basket he decorated, a card he painted and some Bunny Bait (popcorn, white chocolate, sprinkles, mini M&M and masrshmallows).
