Everyday Moments

Craig and Clay headed to the beach for a picnic and play after swimming lessons a few weeks ago - lots of fun and perfect weather!  Won't be long and it will be awarm enough for us to be able to swim.

Clay posing for the camera - so cheeky!

We were doing a primary colours activity for HIPPY and Clay decided he wanted to paint a bit more, so we headed outside to spend the morning creating:)

I brought a hair dye and stocked up on some new make up ready for the cruise.

I was surprised to find one of my new little succelents in full bloom - so pretty!

Clay and his cousin BP - we don't get to spend any time with her, so it's nice to be able to catch up quickly when we spot her :)

Clay's kindy had a Father's Day afternoon on Wednesday- they sang some songs, had a sausage sizzle and did some activities.  Clay was so excited that both Craig and Poppy were there :)

Bunnings Father's Day Family Night

Last night we went to the Father's Day family night at Bunnings and took Diane and our nephew Riley with us.  They had lots of activities, a sausage sizzle and snacks, and the local car club had their cars out on display.

Clay did one craft activity, so we took the materials for the other crafts to do at home where we aren't as rushed.  He waited patiently to have his face painted - he was excited to get a minion :)

The most popular activity was the jumping castle - both Riley and Clay loved it!

It was another great family night - can't wait for the next one!

Thrifty Thursday

We had some time to kill before the birthday party  Sunday morning, so I popped into an op shop for a look.  This week's special was 5 tops for $5 - perfect timing cause I wanted a few more tops for the cruise.  I managed to find these 5 :)   I added up the original cost of tops - $25!  So I saved $20 - bargain!

Cards

Some new stamps and a die motivated me make a few cards recently :)  The succelent cards are a new stamp and the colours were inspired by photos on a fb succelent group.

This card is for my BIL and his partner Jacinta who got engaged recently :)  I did try and add a rose gold sentiment, but it looked weird - so I decided to keep it clean and simple.

This card was going to be for Father's Day, but I decided to just make it a birthday card for my stash instead.  I have 2 Father's Day cards sitting on my desk nearly finished - just waiting impatiently fo a stamp set to arrive.

Two Kid's Birthday Parties in a Weekend

We had a crazy weekend and attended 2 kindy kid's parties!  Craig works Saturday, so I braved it and took Clay by myself.  We both had a great time - Clay loved playing with all his kindy friends and I got to meet and chat with the parents.  The kids ate large amounts of lollies and played heaps of party games.  The jelly eating contest was a new one, but the kid's loved it!  Clay thought the pinata was awesome - think I might do one for his next birthday!   I learnt that Clayton has a new best friend -the little girl in the pink dress.  They held hands and played together - so cute!

Sunday we all went to the 2nd party for twins.  Most of the kids from yesterday were there again - so it was nice to have familiar faces.  This party was held at the zoo park, so in between scoffing lollies and some party games, the kids enjoyed playing together in the playground and seeing if they could wake up the poor bat that chose the wrong tree to sleep in LOL

Clay had a great time and consumed LARGE amounts of sugary foods LOL  With 2 party bags and pinata lolly bags, he will be on a sugar high LOL   It was lovely to see him socialising and playing with his kindy friends.  It was also nice for us to meet the other parents and I got some good ideas for next year's party LOL

Book Week

This week Clay's kindy celebrated Book Week!  Instead of picking a particular book, we just let him pick costumes to wear :)  We brought the policemen costume especially for Book Week and the fireman and dinosaur were already in the dress up box.  He loved dressing up and had a ball at kindy :)
