Morning at the Beach

The weather was gorgeous, so we decided to head to the beach for a walk and swim!  Clay needs to practice riding his bike more - ready for school next year.  We parked up near the main street of Bargara and walked / ride around to the Basin/ park.

Clay splashed in the water (bit too cold yet for a proper swim), we explored the rocks and searched for shells.

After getting changed, we walked back to the playground for a play.

Then back on the bike to head back to the car.  A lovely morning out :)

Hospital Visit

We headed to Brisbane yesterday ready for another round of doctor's appointment for Clay.  The appointment was 9am, so we decided to travel down the day before and stay overnight.  We had dinner with Chris at Breakfast Creek Hotel . The meal was delicious and it was wonderful to catch up with Chris :)

Clay's hospital visit went well this time. There was no surprise news like last time - eg he has a cataract and new lenses were required!  Clay was a total rock star the whole 5 hours of waiting and seeing doctors today. We recived fantastic news that Clay is not having laser surgery in the near future and they will review in 12 months time!! We will need to see the geneticist in the meantime to determine what type of Stickler Syndrome we have.

Thrifty Thursday

Monday after swimming lessons I popped into 2 oppies hoping to find outfits for the hen's night and wedding coming up.

At the first shop I spotted this Halloween bucket 50c.  Kristy had one to use as a rubbish bin at retreat and Clay spotted it and fell in love Lol  He's been watching Halloween vidoes on kid's youtube and is all about the pumpkins (even though Craig and I don't celebrate it).  This find saves me from having to buy a new one.

Clay fell in love with the cute teddy (new with tags) $1.

I'm trying to add a few more items to the dress up box ready for theme days at school next year :)  I found this hat and cape for $1.

This cute prisoner costume was $4.

At the 2nd shop I found this gorgeous top for $4.

This top was $6.  I'm not a big fan of animal print, but it seems to be trendy this summer ;)

A pair of shorts for Clay $4.

Everyday Moments

Kristy brought this cute dino planter for me and I popped my first air plant in there - I've read all the care instructions,  so hopefully I don't kill it lol

Clay asked me to take his photo in front of the Woolworths garden sign :)

I'm no longer working Monday's now, so I have been able to go to swimming lessons to watch Clay.

I pinned this idea of coloured rice for sensory play ages ago and I tried it a few weeks ago.  I used gel food colouring and it turned out a lot brighter than I was expecting :) Clay hasn't used it for sensory play yet, but we did use some to make a musical shaker.

Clay and Diane picked some flowers for me while I was at retreat.

We enjoyed an afternoon of fun at the Botanic Gardens playground Monday afternoon.
