Everyday Moments

Some silly fun while at the shops :)

We ran into Clay's cousin Brandee-Paij out shopping another day - the kids played together while we chatted with Skye.

Clay was super proud of his colouring competition page he did.  We were super proud too, cause he took his time and coloured carefully- usually he just scribble colours.

One of the HIPPY activities this week was to make a robot.  We had been collecting empty boxes and getting supplies ready for this :)  Clay and I spent a lovely morning together- googling ideas, selecting supplies and then creating it :)

Craig and Clay went for another ride / walk at the beach and had some hot chips on Friday.

We had a quiet birthday & cake at home for Craig's birthday.  Clay was super excited about the cake and was very enthusiastic about singing happy birthday LOL

A Sunday Drive

Mum and a friend recently went kayaking at a new spot and mum was excited to show me and see if I thought it would be good for future paddle adventures.  We went for a drive out to Lake Gregory for a look today.

As we driving along there were hundreds of butterflies flying around!  We pulled up on the side of the road so I could pick some up (dead ones) to show Clay. I should frame it, considering the freaking hassle of was to get. Involved my mum trying to drive off without me cause a car was coming and me running alongside the car to jump in!! I didnt know I could actually move that fast LOL

The lake looks perfect!  Great spaces to paddle, lovely area to sit and enjoy the views and maybe do some fishing.  Plus there is lots of space for Clay to run and explore!

I can't wait to give Clay his kayak for his birthday and head out to the lake for a paddle!!

Walk at the Beach

We had no swimming lessons / plans for today, so we packed Clay's bike in the car and headed to the beach for a walk / ride. We walked along the foreshore from the boat ramp to Neison Park (about 2.5km return).  Clay's bike is too small for him now, luckily has getting a new bike for his birthday soon LOl

After we got back to beach, Clay played in the playground while Craig went to buy some hot chips for lunch.  It was a great walk amd perfect weather to get out of the house and enjpy the sunshine - who knows what restrictions from the Corona virus will be put on next week?

Fun with the Cuzzies

Kate and the boys surprised us with a visit on the weekend :)  Yesterday afternoon they joined us down at the beach for a game of soccer with Clay's new ball and then a swim.  I think that might be our last swim till next Spring - the water was pretty chilly!!

Today Clay spent the day with them at mum's while I went to Simply Crafty and Craig worked.  Mum decided to have a birthday party for Jack since they wouldn't be here in the holidays.  Clay took Jack's present over and enjoyed the party.  I'm a bit horrified about the way he eats cake LOL
