Everyday Moments

We finally had Clay's genetics clinic (tele - health) appointment!  We were worried the appointment would be cancelled due to COVID 19, but the changed it to a video call, which was a relief considering we have been waitong over 12 months for the appointment.  The doctor confirmed Clay's diagnosis of Sticklers Syndrome and arranged to have a genetic test to determine what mutation / type we have.  The genetic test kit arrived and we have done the swab and sent it back.  Now to wait the 2-3  months for the results.

I brought a waist bag for hiking and it arrived last week, now to arrange to go hiking :)

My String of Dolphins plant is flourishing even more!  Hard to believe it was a single, grey string of little dolphins when i first planted it.

My String of Beads isn't flourishing as much, but at least it's turned green!

After nearly 2 years, I finally painted the pine shelf I got for free of FB marketplace!  When I first brought it home, Clay claimed it for himself LOL  Craig and Clay hung it up on Friday and Clay filled the shelves with his Lego :)

Poppy joined Craig and Clay for the Friday date of hot chippies and a walk / ride :)

Craig made delicious slow cooked beef and mushroom pies for dinner!

I love how technology keeps me in touch with friends!! Nettie, Lindalee and I had a 1.5 hour long video chat on Saturday night.  We booked it in once we worked out the time difference between Australia and Holland.  Nettie even took us on a video tour of her house :)

Layouts

I seem to have found my scrappy mojo lately! I got 2 layouts scrapped this weekend. I liked the design of the first one, so copied it for the 2nd one, with some changes :)

Mr Cheeky

Craig snapped these gorgeous photos of Clay today when they went out the front for a break and to try and catch butterflies:)  I love how Craig captured Clay's beautiful natural smile!

I brought a kayak!!

Mum was happy to keep sharing her kayak, so I had planned on buying my own closer to summer, however mum rang me yesterday to tell me that BCF had kayaks on sale at a super cheap price that I couldn't resist!  There was one left in the colour I wanted,  so she picked me up and I brought it!!  I'm so excited!!  I will buy the accessories (paddle, roof racks and seat) online as it's much cheaper (less than half the price).

My Happy Place

Yesterday we had our usual morning paddle :)  I decided to give my waterproof phone case a go and snap some pics while we were out on the river.

ANZAC Day

It wasn't our usual ANZAC day traditions, but we made the most of it.  Craig and I made tealight   holders like I had seen on Pintrest, Clay and mum made paper wreaths and I made a rosemary wreath using the egg carton poppies Clay had painted.

This morning Craig set up the lights and participated in the driveway ceremony- listening to the online service.  It was nice to see some of the other neighbours participating too.

After paddling we headed to the REMEMBER art installation to take some photos.

Learning at Home - Week 2

Mum and Clay had another wonderful week of learning at home this week.  They worked on ANZAC  projects, did work provided by the school, baked cupcakes, went for rides / walks, did some gardening  and arts & crafts.  There was one day Clay was being dramatic and resulted in a text from mum that made me laugh!!

Layout

I was pinning some layout ideas onto my Pintrest board and was inspired to pop down to my scraproom Sunday afternoon and get another layout scrapped!

I was motivated to join in with this month's Scrap The Boys challenge again!  The birthday theme was perfect to scrap Clay's birthday photo :)

School Holidays - Week 2

Monday after kayaking we did a bit more gardening and found some big snails.  Craig added the drawer fronts and finished the pantry.  Now to pull out all of my Tupperware and Pyrex from various drawers and cupboards and put it in the pantry.  I tidied up my scrap table and got two layouts scrapped.

Tuesday to Thursday Clay was at mum's.  They fed the rainbow lorikeets every morning, did some letters numbers and activity sheets, went for a daily ride / walk around the neighborhood, did some crafts and made a bike ramp!

Friday was Daddy and Clay day - they spent the morning searching for a Bluey cuddly and finally found one, then they headed to the beach for a walk / ride.  There was hot chippies for lunch and a special treat of ice cream :)

Saturday morning we were up and kayaking - Clay is getting more confident and better with his paddling and I'm paddling further each time.
