Last Sunday we had our first Simply Crafty catch up since Covid shut everything down 5 months ago.  I missed scrapping with everyone! I wanted to be really productive, so I packed kits to make sure I didn't waste time looking for stuff.  I even used my new animal print suitcase I got from the op shop too!  I managed to get 6 layouts nearly scrapped- I just had to add a few embelishments or titles, which I did to 5 of them on the weekend.  I have one more to finish!

School Holidays - Week 1

We kicked off the holidays by having a playdate at Chipmunks with a friend from school. It was Clay's first school friend playdate and the kids had a wonderful time together! Nanny looked after Clay Monday to Thursday while Craig and I worked.  There has been lots of creating with playdoh, jumping on the trampoline, playing with cars, building lego, some swims (in the still cold) pool and visits from Brodie!

Brodie came over to spend the day with them on Wednesday and Poppy took them to the beach for a swim and fish & chips.  She also brought her piggies for a visit, so there was lots of cuddling them LOL

Friday was Daddy and Clay day, and Clay decided he wanted to go to the library :)  After the library they were heading over to have lunch with me when Craig spotted a RAAF plane doing some training monouvers, so they went to the airport to watch that first.  After work we headed to a playground for a play.

Saturday Mum, Clay and I popped into 2 op shops and then we had a swim. 

Today was chilled out day at home :)  I did some scrapping, we blew up a new pool toy for another swim and made cupcakes.

Thrifty Thursday

I only found one goodie at the op shop last weekend,  but it's still fun to look :)

Craig had the best thrifty find today - these brand new card making magazines in the bargain box at the newsagents...$2 each!

Everyday Moments

Poppy took Clay out for ice cream after school one day :)

Doing a HIPPY activity about rubbish/ recycling.

Clay spotted this plant at Bunnings and asked to buy it - thought it would look cute it this planter.

I brought a new chair for camping, Clay has taken a liking to it LOL

The council is building a footpath along our street.  There has been much sitting on the verandah and watching all the action.  Is a really wide path and will be perfect for Clay to ride his bike / scooter up and down.

Now the pool is back up and running we brought some new pool toys :) Now we need it to get warmer!

Clay got his green hearing aids / follow up fitting on Tuesday.  We also given a special personal microphone system for his classroom.  His teacher/s wear it on a special lanyard and it goes directly into his hearing aids. She can also lay it on a table for group work and it can also be plugged directly into laptop or tablet and go through his aids.

I love the wildlife we get in the bush behind work!

We went out for dinner with Craig's work mates - this chicken and sweet potato salad I had was delicious!

Thrifty Thursday

Sunday mum and I popped into our fave oppie so she could look at doona covers for her new caravan.

Sunday Afternoon At The Beach

Today we headed down to the beach.  We were going to go for a walk, but it had been raining on and off all day and we didn't want to get caught in a shower, so just decided to let Clay play in the park.  

After he finished playing, we decided to have fish and chips for dinner.

Clay wanted to see how cold the water was.  He was only supposed to quickly check it, but of course he splashed around and got his shorts wet LOL

We finished off the afternoon with an ice cream :)
