Everyday Moments

Clay recently attended Discovery Day where the students completed a range of science and technology challenges.

Selected Year 6 students recently had the exciting opportunity to participate in Youth Parliament 2026 alongside students from other schools.  Hosted by the Queensland Parliament and chaired by Members of Parliament, students experienced the parliamentary process firsthand, debating issues and sharing their ideas in a formal parliamentary setting. Clay was Minister for Tourism & Environment and had to give a 1 min rebuttal - he really enjoyed the whole experience.

While I was Kristy's Spotlight demo I brought some mugs and a heat glove on sale so I can make some mugs - now I just need to find infusible paper in stock!

My goodies from the Robina lego shop :)

I brought this keyring from Ali Express for the Christmas tree, but couldnt resist traumatising the puppies and making them wear it LOL

I also brought 2x Disney minifigs - Tinkerbell & Minnie Mouse! I prefer the red Minnie to the pink one I originally had. She looks like the one from our visit and looks great with the castle. Clay was was happy to add the pink Minnie to his collection

Ctiag was in Mackay for the week and flew home last night - he said there were only 3 people on the plane!

Clay's school had plastic free day this week - as Reef Guardian he had to help check everyone's lunch box and reward them with an ice cup for participating.

Only one book read for May - bringing the total to 20 for 2026

This Lego set has finally landed at Kmart - so I brought it ready to add to the yellow & blue set I've already built. :)
