Camping at Yarraman - Day 2

Saturday morning we had breaky boats and headed off to the markets at Nanango.

I was surprised with how many stalls there were! Beth and Des met us there and we spend the morning wandering around looking at everything.
After the markets we drove to Kingaroy to have lunch.

On the way back to camp we stopped off at the drag line bucket outside of Yarraman.

Clay and Drunkle braved the freezing water in the pool LOL  We had dinner from the food trucks and spent the night chatting around the fire.

Camping at Yarraman - Day 1

We headed to Yarraman for the Easter long weekend with Kristy, Druncle and a friend Sharyn. We had booked this trip 2 years ago, but had to delay it due to Craig's surgery and then Kristy's surgery...so it was long overdue LOL  We booked powered ensuite sites - so nice nit yo have to walk to the toilets / showers!

We arrived about 1pm and set up - nice to know we remembered how to set it all up since its been so long since we've camped LOL  Kristy cooked fish tacos for Good Friday and we had a chilled night catching up.  There were some food trucks so we had hot donuta for dessert.

Easter Hat Parade

I love the school's Easter hat parade tradition - it's great to see the kid's creativity and they are so proud walking around showing them off :) I was a little sad to think this is the last year Clay will do it since he's off to high school next year.  Being on the same day as Clay's birthday + end of term - meant a fun filled day!

Clay's 11th Birthday

Clay was awake and ready to open presents at 5.30am this morning LOL We had filled his room with balloons the night before and put his presents in his desk, but dlhe decided he wanted to open them on our bed :)  He got his long awaited Yeti and Star Wars Loungefly bag, so was a happy boy.

We headed off to Clay's school for the Easter hat parade.  He took chocolate cupcakes to share with his class for his birthday.

Perfect timing - the new Super Mario Galaxy movie was released yesterday, so we headed to the movies to see it. I popped out yesterday morning when the cinema opened to try and get the new Yoshi popcorn bucket, but it was limited stock and the last one sold to the person before me.  I was lucky enough to get the Luma popcorn bucket and Clay was super excited - phew! LOL  We did turn the light off on the bucket before the movie started :)

After the movie he unboxed his Yoshi and we watched it hatch - such a cool idea.  It's a very chatty little toy and Clay loves it LOL
