School Holidays - Week 2

We had a very chilled week for my first week of holidays! We spent Tuesday with mum doing some op shopping and fish & chips for lunch, some last minute food shopping, getting organised for Christmas day, reading, riding the crazy cart and we went to see some more lights. After Christmas day there was lots of lego building and playing with new toys. Still no swimming as there has been rain on & off. Kristy arrived this afternoon to spend a few days with us!

Christmas Day 2025

We had a lovely Christmas day :) We started off with Clay waking us up at 5am to open his stocking. I love the tradition of us all sitting on the bed going through his stocking.

Then we headed out to the loungeroom to open presents!  Everyone was very happy with all their presents :)

Clay's "big" present was a VR headset and he was shocked and ecstatic when he opened his present :)

Thr puppies got some new toys, but like all babies..had more fun with the wrapping LOL

Playing with a slime kit - how cool do the waffles look!?

Speaking of waffles...I brought a small waffles maker yesterday so made some waffles to have with our bacon & eggs this morning LOL

Video and phone calls made to family and friends and then poppy and Ma Ma arrived for lunch-Clay showed them all his presents and showed us his drumming skills with his drum kit!

Lunch was ham, turkey roll, prawns and salad with pavlova & fruit for dessert.

Mum headed home for a nap and dad went to one of Craig's brother house for dinner.  We had a chilled afternoon napping and playing with the new presents.  It rained, so no swimming like planned :(  Dinner was leftovers and afterwards Clay and I started building our Lego sets we got for Christmas.

Thrifty Tuesday

On Sunday we popped out to do a few errands. Cohand and Clay joined me to pop into a few op shops.  I was on a mission to find pie dishes for Craig's mum and managed to find 2 at the first shop! The boys found some goodies too - Clay got a figurine and Cohan found a board game.

Pie dishes $6 & $7

Tupperware cups $1 each

Tupperware drink bottle $4

Plant pot $3

Plastic storage container for my scraproom $2

This cute decoration was free :)

At the 2nd shop I found this bag of ornaments $2 - love the wooden vintage ornaments! I don't like the blue flower doll or green ornament, so will donate them back.

This nutcracker advent calendar was $3 as is.  It is missing most of its boxes, so I'm trying you rcide if I'll create some more with chipboard or cover the front with thin plywood and make it solid.

This tiny and sweet brooch 50c.

Some crafy items - paper doilies $1 and new resin molds $3.

Another pie dish $3!  This one is for me - it matches some other bakeware I have thrifted :)

Today when we went op shopping with mum. The rainy weather meant we only got to one shop, but I still managed to find lots of goodies!

This cane peacock hair was too cute to pass up $6

Books by my fave author $5 & $3

Gift bags $1 each

I found some craft supplies - packet of white embroidery thread $2, thread holder $1, kraft paper pad $4 and new beads $2 (for a friend's daughter who lives to make bracelets)

Serving tray $2

Something a little different... I brought this hair styling tool from Craig's shop $7!
