Reading Award

We are super proud of Clay - he received a Reading Award today. Ma Ma and Nanny got to come to parade with me and see him receive his award (Craig had to work unfortunately).

Everyday Moments

We went out to dinner at the RSL with Craig's work mates last week.   We hadn't been there for years, so it was nice to try somewhere new and catch up socially with everyone :)

My bush orchid has bloomed again :)

Clay and I couldn't resist a quick visit to the chocolate shop before our haircuts on Friday.

Toad (From Mario Bros has finally arrived) - Clay was one happy little boy!  We are decorating his room in the Mario Kart theme.

Swimming lessons :)

I couldnt resist this cute pot plant!

We decided to take Clay to see the Trolls World Tour movie on Saturday morning - he's been wanting to see it since the trailers started showing and it finally was at the cinemas!  He was so excited :)  He ate popcorn and danced along :)

I've had some crafty splurges lately - an alcohol ink kit - I can't wait to play!  I also found the watercolour pens inTarget - I had tried to buy some at Lincraft when we werw on the Gold Coast and looked some online, but everywhere was sold out or too expensive.  I had no idea that Target even sold them and was happy to grab them for the price ($18).

Today Mum, Clay and I did some op shopping and had Chinese for lunch.  We have so much gorgeous street art around town - I couldn't resist snapping a few pics of my cute little boy with this cute fox :)

Girl's Weekend - Part 3

Sunday morning we all had a bit of a sleep in ready for another busy day!  Kristy had to head home on the morning train, so Craig dropped her off at the station on his way to work.  Bec and I decided to pack the kayaks up and head off paddling!! It has been months since I've paddled and I have missed it so much!!! Mum joined us for a paddle too and we headed out to Cedars Crossing.  The weather was perfect and water wasn't too cold at all (Clay had a splash around).  We didnt have enough adult kayaks, so we took it in turns to paddle up and down the river - lots of fun!

After kayaking, we took the kids for frozen yoghurt before heading home for a late lunch.  After lunch Bec and Bella packed up their gear and headed home.  It was a quick, but fun filled weekend - much needed time with my favourite people!  I'm looking forward to our camping trip in a few months time!

Girl's Weekend - Part 2

From the chocolate shop, we headed out to Tinaberries to pick our own strawberries!  So glad we pre-booked, it was super busy there!  We headed off to the field where we were shown how to pick strawberries properly (without squishing them and not picking flowers - which is where the fruit grows from).  Clay thought it was wonderful and loved choosing the biggest strawberries he could find to pick for his box.  We were allowed to eat while we picked - which was lots of fun and delicious too - can you tell Clay really enjoyed that part?!?! LOL

After we finished picking our strawberries, we brought home made ice cream and enjoyed looking around the farm.  We brought all 3x flavours  dragon fruit  passionfruit and strawberry- and they were ALL delicious!  Clay and I are going to go back again for another ice cream and take Craig and Mum with us.

We headed back into town to have Chinese for lunch with mum and Craig.  After lunch we hit the shops for some retail therapy :)  A realexed dinner of leftovers, cheese platters and some fudge, followed by watching some movies was the perfect ending to a great day!
