Road Trip Cairns - Day 6

We headed back to the cafe on the wharf where the wedding ceremony was to have breaky with Chris  & Megan and other wedding guests.  It was nice to catch up with everyone again :)

From breakfast we headed to the Armour & Artillery Museum.  The boys were in their element and Craig said how pleased and surprised he was with the number of tanks and guns - the museum was HUGE!!

From the Museum we headed to the train station to buy our rail tickets to Kuranda, then down to the esplanade to have a late lunch.  We found this cool restaurant called "Howlin" and enjoyed delicious chicken.

We walked across the road to the esplanade for a look.

Back to the hotel for a late afternoon nap for me and chilling out for the boys :)

Road Trip Cairns - Day 5

The reason for our road trip...Chris and Megan's wedding day!! The boys joined Chris for a "Gentlemen's Morning" breakfast with friends and family instead of a buck's night.  I headed to the hotel to get my hair done with other guests & bridal party.  How cool was this interactive display at the casino hotel!?

Family pics before the ceremony :)

The wedding was "unplugged", but I'll share some professional pics later.  I was one of their witnessed and signed the wedding certificate- such a lovely honour.

More pics while waiting for our turn for the family photos with the bride & groom.

Pics on the wharf next the the area where the ceremony was held.

The reception was held next door in a brewery - such an awesome area!  The bride & groom's entrance was them singing "Islands in the Stream" - so anazing and lots of fun!  The funny thing was we were telling Clay about Uncle Chris singing karaoke and Craig said "I bet they sing "Islands in the Stream" as their entrance!!! He totally called it! LOL Chris told me later that it was a complete surprise, not even the bridal party knew they were going to do it!! He thought it was hilarious that Craig predicted it :)

We had a delicious banquet style meal with lots of unique dishes and cupcakes & wedding cake for dessert.  We shared a table with a fun group of friends who had travelled from Mildura - lots of chatting, yummy food and drinks, singing and dancing the night away!
