Cards

New products means motivation to create :)

I was inspired by Kristina Werner's mail art video (and a cute new camping stamp set I got with a magazine) and HAD to make this card :)

Thrifty Thursday

I may not be able to hit the op shops lately, but I have managed to score some bargains off FB market place!

New scrapbook paper pad $10

Vinyl (for cricut camp next month) $10 / $5 a roll.  This type is heat transfer vinyl (HTV) - so it will go on fabric.  It will the first time trying HTV, so if we make errors we won't have wasted too much money.

A friend offered me a heap of kid's and Marvel DVDS she no longer wanted!  I was excited about the Marvel movies - I had been looking to add them to our collection!

I may not op shopping, but mum has been lucky enough to pop into a few.  She asked if we needed a collapsible dish drainer for camping, but we already had one so I will give this one to Becca for her camper trailer :) Mum scored this for $3 - in excellent condition.

Everyday Moments

I get the feeling Clay's Minions are planning something?!? LOL

The chlorinator in the pool died and left it looking cloudy - we got a new one installed last week and it's lovely and clear again.  Now we are ready to swim once it warms up!

Craig cooked us beef and mushrooms pies from scratch- delicious!

Clay practising his yoga poses :)

Clay's class celebrated 100 days of school on Friday - they did some activities around the number 100, had pizza and watermelon for lunch and Clay's favourite thing- they played around with an app to age them :)  School posted the first 5x photos in their FB page.

Last Friday night we headed out to dinner and dancing to celebrate Lindalee 's birthday.  Jax and Clay had a ball dancing up a storm to the band :)

Craig found the reason the work security alarm went off at 4am this morning LOL Still no idea how he got inside the building.

We went to the airport this afternoon to see the Air Force's C17 Globe Master take off.

Karate Kid

Clay has started karate and loves it :) He has only had 3 lessons, but we are seeing an improvement every week.  He got to wear his uniform tonight and looked so cute!

Cards

This morning I stepped out of my comfort zone and went to a card making morning at KJ Ink Studio.  I had seen a post on FB for a morning making cards for community groups / nursing homes and decided to sign up.  I got to meet a group of lovely ladies and admire Karen's amazing scrap area (and get a few organising ideas!). Karen had a small bag of  goodies as a thank you - how thoughtful :)

Karen ran through the kits and a quick tutorial for the ladies that had not made cards before, then we paired up and starting creating.  It was great to use the packed kits - I used a few products and card styles that I wouldn't normally.  We stopped to enjoy a delicious morning tea.

These are the 7 card designs I made multiples of.  All up we created 94 cards to donate.

I had a lovely time and am really glad I decided to join in and I will sign up for another crafty morning :)

School Holidays- Week 2

I was back to work this week, so Nanny was on childcare duty for the 2nd week of holidays :)  Monday they headed into town to run some errands.  Tuesday was a chilled day at home playing.

Wednesday they caught the bus into town and picked out and put some Christmas presents on laybuy and had sushi for lunch :)

Thursday Poppy took them to the beach with uncle Brett and Brodie :) It was too cold for a swim, but Clay was still able to have a splash, make sandcastles and catch sand crabs.  They finished up the outing with fish & chips :)

Friday it was Clay and Daddy day!  They popped onto the shopping centre and spotted this space theme activity - so joined in with a craft activity.

After the shops they headed to a park to join in with the NAIDOC celebrations- Clay had a fantastic time! There were dancing demonstrations,  lots of crafts and activities and a giant slide :)

This afternoon we met up with Lindalee,  Josh & Jaxon at the park for a playdate.

Now to start the count down to next school holidays :)
