Sunday Adventure

This morning mum, Clay and I headed off to the beach to find some rock art someone had shown mum a photo of with vague directions where to find it :) 

First up we found this gazebo and stretch of coast that we had never seen before.

From there we headed back to the little inlet & beach we had explored with Cohan and Clay a few week's ago.  There was a king tide and we decided next time the cuzzies were here we would take the boys for a splash 

We headed further along the coast to Kelly's beach where we found mosaics on rocks and then some amazing mosiac murals on the toilet blocks!

 

We didn't find the rock art we originally were looking for, but found some lovely new spots that we didn't know existed and will leave the rock art for another adventure :)  We finished our weekend off by heading to a sports club to listen to some live music.  We used to regularly go out to hear live bands - I didn't realise how much I've missed it! Clay loves it (no surprise) and will happily dance the night away LOL

Cards

I had a bit of a tidy up and play in my scraproom Tuesday morning.  These cards are using a cute donut stamp set I've been wanting to play with.

First Day of Grade 1

Hooray for the first day of school!  Clay was so excited to be going back to see all of his friends again :)  Gee he's grown and changed so much over the school holidays!  Craig and I both had a late start to work so we could take him to his new classroom to meet his new teacher and get settled in.  Luckily his two teachers were part time teachers he had for part of last year and he was really relaxed and happy with them :)  He's seated with some of his friends so that was another happy start to the new school year :)

Australia Day

Craig, his mum and Clay enjoyed a swim this morning while I played in my scraproom, then in the afternoon we headed to the beach for the Great Australian Bites Railway Picnic. We really enjoyed it last year, so decided to make it a new tradition.  We took KFC for lunch and had a picnic while listening to some great live bands.  We checked out the market stalls, artisan BBQ demo and wandered down to the beach for a look too.  We had a wonderful day, even though it was very hot!  

Last of the holiday fun

Nanny babysat for the last week while we worked.  Lots of swimming with Brodie and Andrew.

Thursday night we decided to check out some live music- Clay loved it and was dancing up a storm! He's requested we go again, so looks like it might be a regular thing :)

Friday they popped into the library before dropping Nanny home.

I had an early appointment Saturday morning, so Craig and Clay enjoyed a sneaky breakfast at MacDonalds :)

More swimming!

Tonight Craig and I had a date night at the movies to see "Buddy Games" :)
