Clay's 6th Birthday Party

This morning was Clay's birthday party and he was so excited!  Nearly all of his class friends came, as well as grandparents and a few family friends.  We decorated the undercover area and the guests started arriving - Clay was spoilt with lots of lovely gifts.

I had organised some party games - egg & spoon race.

Pin the moustache on Mario - was busy organising kids and forgot to take photos.

Pass the parcel.

Then it was time for cake!  Craig made and decorated the cake this year - it looked and tasted fabulous:)

Finally it was time for the pinata!! We brought this for last year's party - which was cancelled due to covid - and Clay has been busting to use it since LOL The excitement was short lived when Clay realised that it just wasn't him basting it open and would have to take it in turns - he sulked and cried - oops!

He calmed down afterwards and then it was time to say goodbye to everyone.  I managed to get these gorgeous photos of him after we packed everything up :)

Everyday Moments

Cold and wet weather is a good time for pumpkin & bacon soup with crusty bread! Yum!

The chocolate shop has set their Easter theme up in the front windows and stocked some cute Easter theme chocolates :)

An elderly gentlemen who was playing on the public piano uptown encouraged Clay to have a play - so sweet!

I brought some camping gear from.Kmart - ready for our annual camping trip!

The wet weather has produced these orange mushrooms at mum's place.

This gorgeous magpie joined me for lunch today :)

How spunky is Clay's new haircut?! :)

Thrifty Thursday

There's a crafty theme to this thrifty post :)

One of the ladies is having a HUGE de-stash and  brought it to retreat to sell.  I was super excited to buy a HEAP of boy theme papers- they are so hard to find anywhere!!!  I even video called Kristy to have a look and she brought a heap of stamps and dies.

This lot cost me a total of $36.

On Saturday Craig's work mate messaged him amd asked if I would like a craft trolley (free) - I had no idea what that meant, but said yes....so glad I did!  It was this HUGE Creative Memories tote bag!  It's in perfect condition and big enough to fit my usual 2x shopping bags worth of kits / papers / embellishments that I usually take to crops!  I have been looking around for a new trolley - my old one is at least 10 years old and no longer usable due to broken wheels and busted zips/ seams - perfect timing!

Principal's Morning Tea

On Monday Clay was so excited to recieve an invitation to the Principal's Morning Tea for "Being Like Bluey" (school rules / mascot).  After talking about it non stop for 2 days, it was finally the day for morning tea :)  We couldn't wait to hear all about it today when we got home.  Clay said it was "awesome" and was so happy he got to have donuts amd chippies LOL We are super proud of him getting the reward!

Layouts

The next 3 layouts from retreat.  The Xmas countdown layout was so time consuming die cutting and gluing all those tiny numbers, but so worth it!

The next 3 layouts I scrapped at retreat :)  The Anzac layout is using a die i recently brought - love that it's such a big die.  It will look lovely as a focal point on cards too!

Quick Road Trip

This morning mum joined us for a quick road trip to Miriam Vale to meet up with Kate and the boys, so we could borrow her camper trailer for our Easter camping trip.  It was a lovely drive and mum enjoyed her first trip in our new car.

While Craig and Katie transferred the camper across to our car, I took the boys to the playground to have a run around.

Mum and I wandered across the road to check out an op shop (didnt buy anything though) and then we grabbed a quick snack before hitting the road home.

We spotted this harvester on the way - Clay thought it looked like a Transformer and wanted to see if we could drive under it LOL
