Layouts

I found a few great cut files and it motivated me to scrap the camper page.  I was still feeling motivated, so I scrapped 2 more layouts :)

School Holidays - Week 7

Craig had an RDO Monday, so Poppy joined them at the beach for a morning of body surfing!  Lots of fun catching waves, followed by hot chips and ice cream :)

The rest of the week with Nanny was playing with the trains, gaming on the Wii, board games, celebrated Australia Day,  had a day out on the bus / running errands, watching movies, playing on the swing set, etc.

Craig got wired up for his sleep test.

Friday night Clay lost his 3rd tooth!

Saturday morning Clay painted his new watercolour pictures that Nanny brought for him and we made his Hot Wheels maker car.

Today we headed to the park for a play and to chase the bin chickens :)

Cricut Creations - Shirts & Hats

Some more projects completed on Sunday! A shirt for me for cricut retreat next month and a cute shirt for Clay.

A project that Craig suggested - hats! I ran out of time a Christmas to make these for Cohan & Jack, but after I watched a video on how to iron on HTV to hats - I was ready to tackle them!  I used my cute mini iron - it's AMAZING!- and it ironed on easily!  I forgot to use a Teflon sheet over the top and over heated / melted the HTV a bit, but doesn't look too bad!!  Craig seems pretty impressed - he has requested a hat design for himself!

Layout

My first layout for 2022!  I had an hour spare yesterday, so went down to my scraproom to play :)  This was the last Christmas photo left to scrap for 2020 - I have no idea why I procrastinatinated on this photo, but it's done now!

Australia Day

We started off our day with green and gold pancakes :)

After a busy morning gardening and mowing lawns, we headed to Bargara in the afternoon for the Great Australian Bite celebrations - we love this tradition!  We checked out the stalls, listened to some great bands and Clay had a ride on the train.

Clay spied the mechanical bull ride and surprised me by asking to have a go....best $1 I've spent! LOL

Cricut Creations - Library Bag & Lunch Box

I got to play on the Sunday and got to tick off a few projects on my ever growing "to do" list! First off was a library bag and lunch box ready for school.  Clay picked the image and is really happy with them :)

Organising My Scraproom - Cricut

I've been meaning to share pics of my Cricut space!  I spent some time over my xmas break sorting and organising this area.

Craig hung up the IKEA gag holders to store my HTV vinyl.  There are lots of ideas on how to store these rolls, but I like this one - I can see my colours and know how much I have.

On the top shelf of my cart I have my cricut pens, tool caddy and my Joy.  On the 2nd shelf I have my new heat press I got for Christmas, the cute pink mini iron that was recommended on cricut FB group and heat pads.

In the drawers I have - tools & misc (shirt alignment rulers, transfer tape, foil transfer kit, power cords, etc) and a light box (for weeding).  There is a drawer for Joy stuff (mats, blades, vinyl).  Then 2x drawers each for HTV scraps and vinyl.

I saw this great idea on a fb cricut group - a Kmart insulated lunchbox is the perfect size to carry the Joy!  Lucky for me, mum had given me one for birthday (to use as a shower bag in the camper)

The top section holds the machine -

The bottom section holds the cutting mats, power cords and tools -

Taribelang Bunda Yarning Circle & Whale Rock

Ally showed me some pics on FB of whale rock and  Yarning Circle, we decided today was the day to go for a drive and see if we could find it.  We stopped at this little gazebo first, then kept looking.

We found the Taribelang Bunda Yarning Circle- the mosiacs are amazing!!

We spotted whale rock on the headland...so walked along a rocky path to get there - was worth it :)

I love finding new places to visit locally!
