Brisbane

We did a quick overnight trip to Brisbane yesterday to follow up with Clay's surgeon.  Brisbane had just come out of a 3 day lockdown, so we weren't sure if the appointment would even be going ahead till we rang and checked Monday. We had to wear masks everywhere!

We stayed at a different hotel this time - much nicer than our usual one and it even has a pool!  Will definitely pack our swimmers next time!  We were about a 5 minute walk to Southbank and could see the museum from our balcony.  Due to the lock down we were wary about going anywhere, so only ducked to a shop around the corner to buy drinks and had our meals delivered to the motel.

Clay's hospital appointment this morning was the quickest we've ever had - out within an hour!  The surgeon confirmed that the new glasses didn't change anything and Clay definately needed surgery.  They are having meeting tomorrow to decide whether to do one eye at a time or both eyes together and then we wait (again) for the call to advise us of his surgery date.
