Decluttering - Games Shelf

Next area to declutter... the games shelf in the loungeroom.

I found this perfect sideboard online from Kmart (and ordered a matching hutch). We put it together last weekend.

I sorted through all the board and card games.  I put the small / card games in the thrifted basket to keep them tidier.

I've started to put some of my Harry Potter stuff out to display - still working out the set up.

I decided to take my HP Funko Pops out of the boxes and put in this Kmart display stand - it takes up so much less room :)

School Holidays - Week 6

I think the final week of holidays was the busiest!  I had a RDO Monday, so mum and Jack came over in the morning for a swim. Mum headed home for a rest after lunch so the boys spent the afternoon playing board games, playing VR and the Switch.

Nanny couldn't come and watch Clay this week, so Tuesday and Wednesday he spent the day at Ma ma's with Jack.  Thursday poppy took him down to the beach for some body boarding and lunch.  Craig got back from Rocky Thursday, so we went out for dinner. Friday he went to work with Craig for the half day. He scored a cardboard box from my work and so far has made a guitar- I love him being creative. He also read 2 more books - that makes 6 for the holidays :)

Saturday we headed to Elliott Heads- the boys did some body boarding at the ocean side before we headed to the river side where Tabs and Torrie were stand up paddling. We all had a swim in the lovely cool water for about 2 hours before having fish & chips for lunch.

Sunday we met up with the Tabs & Torrie tp buy some Lego minifigs - we caved and brought some Lego sets too LOL  After we grabbed the last few back to school things on Clay's list- we picked Jack up so the boys could spend the afternoon swimming, playing the VR headset and watching a movie together.

Everyday Moments

I built the Haunted Mansion set - love it!

I made mango weis bar flavoured slushies - so delicious!

I brought 2 new acrylic brooches to add to my collection :)

Another lego set built - HP Monster Book of Monsters - so cool!

Craig brought me this very cute Disney Boutique bag from work.

I was disappointed to find the Vegas sign lego set was micro bricks (not mini blocks like I was expecting) - they are so tiny and fiddly!  The instructions are really hard to understand too.  I have built about half of it, but I think I've missed some steps, so will have to rebuild.

The new series of Lego minifigurines are out and they are animals! We used the minifig app tp get the 2x we wanted - bunny for me and Clay got their frog.  We are going to buy a few more to add to our collections.

School Holidays- Week 5

Another quiet / chilled week at home - readings, swimming and riding his crazy cart.  Nanny and Clay did pop into town Friday to run some errands, before Craig picked them up.  He took Clay to get his new senior school shirts- can't believe he's grade 6 this year!  They then dropped Nanny home.

Saturday morning we went to a BMX open day - Clay had a ride around the track with the other kids, but didn't think he would enjoy it as a sport / hobby.

We also went to a pickleball open day in the afternoon. Clay had mentioned wanting to play tennis, but I thought pickleball might be a better option.  Clay totally loved it - looks like we found his new sport :)

This afternoon we met up with Tabs and Torrie at a skate park so the kids could ride their crazy cart around. Afterwards we had dinner together - it was a great way to finish the weekend.
