Poona - Camping Day 1

We were so excited to finally have the camper, so decided a spontaneous weekend away would be a good idea to get a feel for it and make sure there were no any issues before we head away for our group trip in October.

I worked my roster to finish early Friday lunch  Craig and Clay grabbed some last minute things, hooked up the camper, picked me up and off we went!

We did try and book a stay in Tin Can Bay, but they were booked out  so Craig did a bit of research and someone suggested Poona Palms Holiday Park.

After we set up we went for a look around the park - camp kitchen and pool (pity it was too cold for a swim).

We headed to the river for a look - a gorgeous sunset and the tide was out.  Clay had a play in the playground.

Reception sent us a text to say that there was live music and food at the hall across the road, so we headed across to check it out :) It was great- hot pork roast and vege rolls, a couple of different bands, cheap beers and a playground for Clay to play in!
