Bunnings Fathers Day Event

Tonight after work, we headed to Bunnings with Tabs & Torrie for the Father's day event. We were really surprised to find hardly anyone there - usually these events are packed!

We still had a great time - esky races, crafts, pizza, rubber duck racing and face painting :)

Craig even decided he really liked the pizza oven they were using to cook the pizzas- so guess who got an early Father's day present LOL

Everyday Moments

Pink vanilla cupcakes last week :)

I have the feeling I'm being watched....

Clay was having issues with his soft molds, so they decided to try him with a different style - so far less pain, so looking good!

Cute balloon animal :)

I print at least one thing a day LOL  I have the files all converted to print files and depending the print length, then I just select something and print!

Clay braved the cold pool last weekend to try our his new snorkel.  He didn't understand its not goggles and kept diving under the water LOL  Once we got him in the floating- he got the hang of it :)

3D Print Creations

I did the biggest and longest print Sunday - this awesome battery stand! It took nearly 13 hrs to print!  It holds 24x AAA and 24x AA batteries.

3D Print Creations

I saw an FB video about a print for a really cool book stand and when I went looking for the design file I found these sawesome book holders!!  There was at least 10 different variations, so I tried these 2 out.  I like the bottom design better as the thumb hole is smaller.  There is a Batman symbol one I want to try too - once I buy some black filament ;)

3D Print Creations

Some more fidgets for Kristy - this time I tried an articulated gecko design - of course Clay loved it and wanted a green for himself :)

Yesterday I printed 3 more game stands for Craig- now he has all his games on display (and I can just print more as he gets more games).

3D Print Creations

I printed these Cricut maker "skates" - to help slide the machine on a surface. I used the pink / purple filament, so ended up with 2 different coloured skates. I think I'll print another set - that way I have better chances of them matching or at least matching the two I printed already LOL

They fit perfectly and make sliding on my desk much easier!

This Cricut logo was a quick print , will have to print one for Kristy too :)

3D Print Creations

At the airshow I realised I had a LOT of SD cards floating around the bottom of my camera bag - a quick look for some card holders on the 3D print program and I found this awesome design! I also found a different design for micro cards which I will print up too.

Book Week 2024

Clay decided to be Willy Wonka for Book Week this year :)  We found a costume, but it was a bit small, so I made a few alterations and decorated a tshirt and here it is....

School had a special parade for the kidsbto share their costumes:)

3D Print Creations

Kristy asked me to print her some fidget toys for her work desk, so I had a go at printing these keyrings.  It's fascinating that they print all in one piece, but all the parts move!  Clay loved Kristy's,  so I printed one for him too :)

GC Trip - Pacific Airshow & Surfers Paradise

Saturday morning we were up at 5am and on the tram by 6.30am!

Aunty Kissy winning points by getting Clay a slurpee at 7am LOL

We waited in line till the gates opened at 9.30am, then headed onto the beach to get set up and ready for a day of action!

Lots of fun things to see and do on the boardwalk.

Back to our seats ready for the show to start! Usually I take the photos  but Craig had the camera to take his pictures :)

Kristy saw an idea for using a sled under the trolley to make it easier to use on the sand.  We channelled our inner McGyver with zip ties and rope and got it attached.  Craig said it was much easier to pull along - winner!

We learnt from last year and did not rush to catch a tram home straight after the airshow (3 hr wait last year) - instead we wandered around Cavill Ave looking at the street entertainers, checked out the displays at Ripley's museum and popped onto a few shops.

There was DJ playing at the boardwalk with pyrotechnics.

We had dinner at Wahlburgers - pretty delcious.

After dinner we headed to the tram station and the line up had cleared, so we finally headed home after 12 long hours!  It was a long day  but we all had a wonderful time and are looking forward to next year's airshow!
