Layout

I was inspired by some gorgeous circle/ embellishment layouts I've seen on Pintrest lately.  I brought a 6 inch pad pad from Kmart recently and it had some gorgeous floral papers that were perfect for fussy cutting. I got 2 layouts scrapped on the long  weekend - I'll share the other one next month, because it's a guest DT challenge layout.

Kayaking Adventure

We were lucky to get 2 days of paddling in over the Easter long weekend:)  Even though I share mum's kayak, no one misses out because we have gotten into the routine where mum goes earlier and paddles from 6am to 8am, then when we arrive Clay and I paddle.  Mum likes to walk along the river bank next to us and we chat while Clay and I paddle.  Clay is getting better at paddling his kayak - I tied his kayak behind mine and we went for a big paddle up and back the river and he paddled the whole way!  I left Craig holding the rope / with Clay and I went for another big paddle in the opposite direction.  I took lots of photos of everything we did and saw today and even remembered to take some family photos :)

Easter 2020

Clay had us up nice and early to see the goodies the bunny had left and to go on an egg hunt :)  There was some chocolate eaten before breakfast ;)

The rest of the day was spent gardening, building the new pantry, cleaning off the front verandah and then watching some movies.

Mum came over for dinner and we played Clay's new board games.  

School Holidays - Week 1

Clay went to mum's on Monday and Tuesday, while we worked.  They did some worksheets, crafts, went for bike rides/walks, planted some succelent cuttings for me and did a nature scavenger hunt.

Wednesday and Thursday Craig had off as annual leave, so the boys chilled out at home and did a few chores.

Friday we planned to go kayaking and on a walk / ride, but unfortunately it rained :(  Instead we drew on the chalkboard, played Monopoly, read, built more lego, did an Easter craft and relaxed.

This morning we woke to better weather and headed off early to go kayaking :)  Craig even had a paddle today!  We tied Clay's kayak to mum's kayak and he paddled along behind us.

After our paddle, we picked up a new pantry cupboard from Bunnings and a treadmill I brought off a friend.  Both Craig and I have been missing our gym sessions, so hopefully this will help keep up the weight loss.

I'm having Easter drinks / online chat with Bec and Kristy tonight- can't wait :)

Everyday Moments

Friday's are now "Daddy and Clay day" - they headed to the beach so Clay could go for a ride on his new bike and have hot chippies for lunch :)

Clay got a few sets of Lego from family & friends for his birthday, so we put them together.

We have played a lot of games of Monopoly :)

I'm doing a bit of redecorating around the house - our room got a new wall print, quilt cover and cushion - I love it!!
