Everyday Moments

Clay is still loving pickleball and we can see improvements every week :)

He was super excited to be in an article in the newspaper last week!

February book count 7 - total 11 for 2026!

Cody and Ellie are visiting mum again, so we spent Sunday morning with them before heading to Bunnings for the DIY craft - making a robot.  Clay had lots of fun hammering and screwing hardware on.  After the workshop we met up with dad for a birthday lunch at his fave Asian restaurant.

Cupcakes baked for school lunches.

Decluttering - Scraproom / Cricut Supplies

My scraproom is a complete mess, everything is just dumped on the table / floor in bags or baskets. I'm finding that I am not motivated to create due to it, so decided to put some shelves and cupboard in there and start sorting yesterday afternoon!

First up was all the cricut vinyls - I had them in the plastic storage containers and that was working until I got a tub of stuff from Kristy LOL  I used the cube shelf that I recently replaced in the loungeroom and sorted it into HTV, vinyl, infusible and transfer/ stencil vinyl.  Each roll has a white slap band around it to help with storage.  Now I have the majority of them sorted out, I will cut out labels for each vinyl type for the bands to help with future sorting.

Next I decided to sort the cricut / blanks area and set up the printer I got for Christmas. I used the cupboard that I recently replaced from the kitchen to store the blanks and put the printer on top.

Candle Making Kit

Last night after the markets, Tabs & I finally made our candles!  We brought the kits from Kmart last Halloween LOL

I didn't take any process shots - working with hot wax was a bit tricky ;)

The first candle - I think it turned out pretty good!! The bottom is a little rough cause I spilt the wax and had to scrap it up to put in the mold.  There is enough supplies to make 2 more candles, so we are going to have another craft night :) Might muy some oils to make them scented next time.

Lunar New Year and Witches Markets

Craig was feeling sick today  so just Tabs, Clay and I headed off in the afternoon to attend the Luner Nee Year celebrations.  We started off with doing some Chinese calligraphy  - Clay googled how to write his name and I think he did a great job!

From there we went into the mail hall to watch some dancing, a traditional clothing fashion show, listen to dummimg and see the Chinese dragon & lion dancing.

From the lunar celebrations we headed to the recreational precinct to check out the Witches markets happening that evening. There were lots of interesting stalls - Tabs & I even tried mead (not bad!).   I brought some earrings & an enamel badge and Clay brought a wand (he was so excited to finally have a wand LOL) and a Pikachu crystal.

Sunday Swims & Pizza

Yesterday afternoon Tabs, Lindalee, Josh and the kids came over for a swim and pizza.  It was a lively relaxed afternoon catching up will the kids swam.  Everyone made their own pizza for dinner and we even made a dessert pizza (Nutella, marshmallows and choc chips) - it wasn't too bad!
