LGB Junk Journal - The Night Before Christmas

After buying the binding machine and spending the last few months stocking up on Little Golden books, it was finally time to create my first journal!  Kristy and I had watched a few videos , so had some tips for removing the binding / pulling the books apart, how to make pickets and how to bind them. We each made our books, step by step.  Larissa and Tabs had a lot of fun selecting papers and making pockets for their books. I added a little extra with a ribbon charm on the binding. I ordered these decorative metal corners from Ali (they arrived arrived after the craft weekend) - I think they are cute and cover the tatty corners really well!

Thrifty Thursday

Kristy and I popped into to 2x oppies while we were out grabbing snacks Saturday morning.  At the first shop I found 4x LGB $2 each.

I found some craft items - wooden embellishments $4, 3x packets of stamps $3 each and a packet of scrapbook page protectors $5.

I had a Christmas card shaker card kit, card kit and a tag kit that I brought in post Christmas sales last year - so I decided to use all those kits to make my first lots of cards.
