Button art and biscuit decorating

Today we headed to mum's to spend the day with her and the cuzzies.  We started off with child labour...everyone on board to help  collect the mandarins from the highest part of the tree LOL

Then inside to make pancakes for morning tea.

After that we gathered up the art supplies and headed outside to create some button art. We were just going to create on some paper, but while looking for design ideas we saw a picture on Pinterest using a laminate board background and mum remembered that she had saved a heap of offcuts when she laid her new floor.  They were the perfect size!  The boys drew their design / told me and I drew it, then we sorted through the buttons and got to gluing!!

Finished product!  I think the look great :)  Clay did the red car- his is a little neater because I was in control of the glue LOL  I'm going to layer more buttons on later And display it in his room.

Found this green frog in the garden, so Clay had a hold before putting him back.

After lunch we decorated biscuits  - think the boys ate more icing / decorations then they actually used! Lol
