Kayak Adventures

We were up early and headed to Sandy Hook to spend the morning at the river kayaking!  It was perfect weather/temps and not very crowded (usually busy with speed boats / skiers).

Cohan found this tiny turtle!  The boys kept it in a bucket and watched it for the morning, then released it back into the water when we left.

Clay and Jack played in the sand and water, while Cohan searched the banks for more turtles.  Mum went for a paddle down the river.

We took it in turns to have a paddle - sometimes sharing with the boys and other times the boys paddled by themselves.  Clay was amazing with paddling - got it on his first go.  We just had to keep him from paddling off down the river without us LOL Where we were paddling and swimming was very shallow - the perfect spot for us!  I was excited to have a go at kayaking - I wasn't sure how it go with my back/ numb leg, but got in and out of kayak and paddled without any issues - super proud!

Clay and I both loved kayaking and are addicted already!  Clay has already asked Craig to buy our own LOL
