Borumba Deer Park - Camping Day 1

We were supposed to head off Friday, but there were severe weather warnings so we decided to wait until Saturday morning.  Kristy and Bec rocked up Friday and ended up setting up in the rain. We were up at 4am Saturday to hook up the trailer and head off!  It started off with foggy weather, but then the sun came out to clear skies.

We set up our camper (check out our new fridge/ freezer - fancy!), had some breakfast and then Kristy and I gave everyone their camping bags- they were a huge hit :)

We all got into our cars and headed off to Kenlworth.  We started off looking around the market stalls in the park, then went to the bakery to pick up our donuts!

As we headed back to the park with our donuts we spotted a man parked on the street with this Brahman calf in his car, so we took Clay over for a look.  Cutie kept trying to lick Clay LOL

Kristy / Alyssa and the Frenchies each brought a 1kg challenge donut - so HUGE!  There were a few sore / sick tummies once they finished them!  We just brought a box (had 1 each and took leftovers back to camp) - so many delicious flavours to chose from!

We walked down to the dairy to buy cheese, mousse and yoghurt :)

We stopped in Imbil on the way back to camp.

Back at camp Bec and I took the kids for a walk to feed & see the animals.

It's not camping without a fire and roasting marshmallows ;)

The park had organised a disco for the school holidays- there were a LOT of mums (and a few dads) out busting a move, drink in hand ;)  Becca and I danced up a storm with the kids and even Craig got up for a few dances! Becca kicking her shoes off and yelling "oh my God it's the macarana" before busting a move was the highlight of my night! LOL
