Camping at Yarraman - Day 3 & 4

Day 3 - Easter Sunday, so the bunny visited and left a basket of goodies for Clay :)  Bacon pancakes for breakfast and a bucket of Easter goodies to share.

Clay particpated in the Easter egg hunt around camp and had lots of fun following the clues :)  Then back to the vanity to chill for a bit and snuggles up in his new shark blanket LOL

Krosty & Sharyn decided to chill and have naps, so Craig, Clay, Druncle and I decided to hop in the car and headed off exploring.  First stop was Coomba Falls - very popular with lots of people picnicking and swimming. It was 125 steps down to the botyom of the falls / swimming area. We didn't pack swimmers, so splashed around in the rock pools (much warmer than the freezing water )[)) and Clay & Druncle went exploring over the rocks.

Back up 125 steps and into the car to head to Muntapa Tunnel.  It's 260m straight tunnel and in the middle (area is closed off by gates) is a colony of bent wing bats).

After our walking and exploring we were hungry so decoded to head to Oakey for a late lunch at the RSL - delcious meal! We were hoping the air museum would be open at the airforce base, but it's kbly open on Wednesdays.

We drove back to camp, stopping at Yarraman to find the hand-carved statues and metal work horse.  Kristy and Sharyn had the fire going, so after a dinner of cootie board we sat around chatting.

Day 4 - We were up, packed and on the road by 9am. Back home can unpacked, washed & put away, washing done and bags unpacked.  A fabulous 4 days away and looking foward to another trip away.
