Easter Projects

Yesterday Cathie and I spent a lovely morning making Easter projects at a Stampin' Up workshop with Bron.  We made the first 2 projects using our new envelop punch boards,

We made this cute Easter basket and tag.
\

Second project was this cute bunny chocolate holder.  (Tutorial purchased from  Create with Connie & Mary)

Third project was a concertina punch art card.  I've never tried a concertina fold beforee, but once we got the measurements and cuts sorted, it was quiet simple :)

Very cute ideas and Bron even supplied the chocolate eggs :)

Card

I'm sharing a single layer card today :)  I am sure I've seen something similar on the www, but can't find the original card to link back to.  This card was for Craig's birthday today :)  I love how this turned out and will definately b making a lot more of these to add to my stash!

And a pic of the birthday boy :)  After a crazy week at work and not feeling too well, he wanted a quiet day, so we just had a delicous lunch at one of our fave pubs.

Thrifty Thursday - Pyrex Edition

I had an amazing day op shopping last week!!  I found a number of pyrex pieces and loads of other goodies - I decided to split it into 2 posts :)

Retro yellow flower pie dish $2

Black rose dish $2

Fiesta dish $2

Retro orange squares dish $3

And the most exciting find.  The kind of find that made me squeal, walk around with it clutched to my chest with a manic grin on my face.  The kind that Craig has been warned not to look at, touch or EVER consider using........

Pink daisy !!  The holy gail of pyrex for me!!  It was in mint condition and a bargain $5!

Cards

Just sharing the last of the watercolour cards I made last week.  I have created similar cards with the colour combos  before - just used slightly different images and sentiment stamps.

Cards

While surfing the net for inspiration, I found a cute card with a folded paper design.  After ome searching I found the instructions for the Dahlia Fold.  Because I was making larger square cards, I used more pieces than the standard 8.

Cards

Rainy day weather was good motivation to get out my watercolour paints and try a few new techniques.

Dawn McVey shared a watercolour background video on her blog and I couldn't wait to try it out!  I made the backgrounds, then chose a simple stamped sentiment / image.

I really liked Dawn's thanks cards - so decided to CASE the design.

After the thanks cards, I made the dandelion cards.

I had one background card left and noticed the design was a bit different to the others, so decided to stamp this card with this dragonfly design.

These were quick & easy and I have plans on making packs of these to give away to friends.
