Happy Birthday Sonya!

Hope you have a fantastic day!!

Woo hoo - DH & I have next week off-lots of fishing, scrapping & relaxing planned :o) Just time to recharge our batteries. Well that's the plan anyway LOL

Katie & Cohan are coming down for the weekend (should be arriving anytime soon). I can't wait to see how big he's gotten :o)It's DH birthday Sunday so we are having a BBQ at home. It's been a while since we've had a party - so it will be nice to catch up with everyone.

Happy Birthday James!

Glad to hear you had a great day yesterday!

Elena is off to Darwin this Saturday for 2 1/2 months for Navy Reserves - so us girls took the opportunity to catch up and have dinner Friday night. I got to catch up with a friend I haven't seen for months :o) After dinner we went to a McCafe for coffee - we spent 2 hours chatting. I love spending time with "the girls" - there's always lots of laughing!

I spent the day pottering around my scrap room on Saturday - just moving furniture and tidying up. It still looks like a bomb hit it, but hopefully it's all sorted out by this weekend.

On Sunday I went to Simply Crafty - the new venue is great - lots of room! There were lots of regulars and even a few new faces! I finished one LO and worked on 4 others. This is the first LO I have done of Connor - how cute is he?!?! I totally love this new range of Kaiser papers!

I *heart* Adam Brand!

Anyone who knows me, knows about my "slight" obsession with Adam Brand! Seriously, the man is gorgeous - who could blame me?!?!

Anyway, this is leading to something....I brought his latest CD - "Hell of a Ride" - it's fantastic!!

And even better...he is finally going to do another tour in Queensland!! Woo hoo!! I was really disappointed when he didn't tour QLD for the release of his last CD :o(

VIC Bushfire Appeal LO

Well I managed to get 10 LO completed and dropped them off at Creative Artz in time for Petrina to post them off! I did try to put them in a collage, but couldn't work out how - so I will show 5 now and the other 5 later :o)

DH & his mum went fishing Saturday morning, but didn't catch anything big enough to keep. I think it's time he got some new 'secret' fishing spots! LOL I spent the morning moving my new book shelf into my scrap room and re-arranging everything. I'm still sorting though all my stuff and have to move the old furniture out - so there's no room to scrap ATM. I thought it would be a quick job to move everything from one cupboard to the shelves, but it I think it will take me a few weekends of sorting to get everything arranged just the way I want it! My MIL stayed the weekend, so it was just a quiet night at home last night - just watching footy, playing "Buzz" trivia on the PS2 and watching a few DVDs.

Today I spent a bit more time in my scrap room - moving & sorting everything. I also put most of my recent LO into 2 albums. There are still a few LO in the pizza box, so I will have to buy another album. I painted the cement mushrooms - I love how they turned out!! I made a set each for Cathie & Kylie - I can't wait to give them their sets! After a week of rainy & windy weather (thanks to cyclone Hamish) - the sun was out, so I took the opportunity to do some gardening as well.

Still plodding along...

I have completed 8 LO - only 2 to go! I will get up early tomorrow morning and get them done so I can hand them in at Creative Artz for Petrina to pick up.

I had a go at making cement mushrooms on Sunday (mum has been the one making all of them ATM). I took them out of the sand moulds last night - they look pretty good for my first attempt. One's a bit big - hopefully it's not that heavy that it sinks into the ground! LOL I need to leave them to dry for a week, then I can paint them.

Mum picked up a HUGE (approx 2m H x 1m W) pine book shelf for me at a garage sale on Sunday - so I am going to give my scrap room a complete makeover. ATM I have a computer desk & corner cupboard for the majority of my storage - but I won't need them any more. Plus, I have made a wooden frame & mesh wall hanging to clip all my embellishments on - I just need to get the string to hang it up with. I got that fabulous idea from Kylie - she has one in her scrap room. Once I have finished the makeover I will post pics.

Reading..

Apart from scrapping, I have been reading a lot. I managed to get 2 more books by Rachael Treasure.

Once again - if you enjoy Australian themed novels - these are fantastic!! I found out tonight that she has released another book - so I will definitely purchase that one too.

At the moment I am reading this book..

I really liked The Da Vinci Code and this book is just as good.

I would love to hear about any other good books anyone has read lately and would like to recommend to me.

I had lunch with Cathie and Kylie today - I didn't get home till about 5pm - we chatted, did some shopping, then went back to Kylie's for coffee and more chatting! LOL I didn't get anymore scrapping done today - but since all the house work & chores got done today I have all day tomorrow to scrap!

TGIF

I got up early this morning and made another 2 LO for the bush fire appeal - that makes a total of 6 so far. I'm hoping to get a few more done tonight and over the weekend. It's actually pretty hard to scrap for someone else - everyone has different styles, fav colours, etc. I have tried to make a variety - Christmas, family, fun, etc. I will take pics of them once I'm finished.

I'm hoping to get some of my own scrapping done this weekend - I have lots of new goodies I dying to play with! :o) I also want to work on Bec's OTP a bit more too.

I got some happy mail the other day - my friend Annette from Holland sent me a pack of photos of her family and I can't wait to scrap them!!

Weekend in Rocky...

I have a few belated birthday wishes for last weekend - Happy 1st Birthday to Andrea and happy birthday to my FIL! Hope you both had a wonderful day!

I left DH at home and mum & I headed off to Rocky on the weekend. I spent Saturday at Bec & Dale's having cuddles with Connor - he is so gorgeous!! Bec is absolutely glowing - being a mum definitely suits her :o) We talked babies and relaxed watching movies.
Mum babysat Cohan while Katie & James moved into their new place - they are nearly all unpacked and settled now.

Sunday morning we went over and saw my brother, SIL & nieces. I can't believe how much Lacey has changed - she was talking up a storm!! LOL I got a heap of pics of the girls.

We stopped in at the Calliope markets and had a look around. We were pretty lucky - we got there at midday when it usually closes, but it was still packed with people so we got to wander around for an hour checking out all the different stalls. I got a set of Russian dolls and some scrapbook stuff (yep, I managed to find a scrapbook stall LOL). It so hot & dusty there. We were there in the middle of the day, but luckily didn't get burnt. Then we went and had a look around Boyne Island & Tannum Sands. We are going to go back to Tannum Sands one weekend for a picnic and some fishing - it's gorgeous there!! With all the detours it took mum and I 5 1/2 hours to get home!! LOL

DH didn't catch any fish (again LOL) - but had a nice relaxing weekend. He's going to try out some new fishing locations this weekend - fingers crossed we get a feed of fish!

I've managed to scrap a few LO for the bush fire appeal - I'm planning on getting 10 done this week, ready for Petrina to post.
