Cricut Creations - Wooden Keyring

It's almost the end of February and I made my first cricut creation for 2023! I found these pretty pastel wooden beads and knew I wanted to use them on a wooden keyring! I decided to put a flamingo on the front and my initials on the back.  This is perfect to hold my gym tag and make it easier to find in my bag :)

 

Everyday Moments

We went for dinner out with Craig's workmates when the area managers were in town last week.

Clay and I have started collecting and building the Woolies' lego :)

I finally remembered to get the recipe off mum and made have drops- delicious! I also used a cake mix to make cupcakes.

Mum and I stopped at a road side fruit stall and got some mangos, lychees and mum got passionfruit - it was so cheap and very delicious!

In of the guys at work suggested I try the pink gin liquor made locally- it's sooooo good!!! I drink it with lemonade - it's such a pretty coloured drink :)

Clay and Torrie had a play date Saturday. They were coming over for a swim, but T was a bit snuffly so the kids just played with the toys and karaoke mic :)

Hot weather means swims everyday on the weekend!

Clay's Room Renovations - Part 2

The painting is all finished and the furniture has been moved in.  Just need to a put up the wall sticker when it arrives, buy a new desk and finish putting the stuff in the book shelves.  I am also thinking about putting a shelf the entire length of the wall (above the bed head). Clay is really happy with it and has settled in quickly :)

Clay's Room Renovations- Part 1

We have been talking about moving Clay from his room to the (bigger) spare room for about 6 months.  After more planning / discussions, we went to Bunnings to look at paint samples. Clay surprised us by choosing blue - we thought he would go with his fave colour green. 

This weekend the renos started!!  We took everything out of the room, wiped all the walls, trim and skirting boards down.  Next we removed all the nails and hooks and patched up the holes.  Craig sanded all the walls down and then did the painting :) The walls have 2x coats and Craig did first coat of the trims today.  The room is very "blue" LOL I did suggest a paler blue or just doing a feature wall, but the boys decided "go big or go home" :)

Everyday Moments

I'm not a big drinker, but I have been enjoying the occasional gin with ginger beer and lime.  A work friend suggested trying muntbwith it - delicious!

Last weekend mum came over for lunch and a swim - so lovely on these hot / humid days!

We went out for dinner last weekend - my karage chicken was delicious - I had heaps left over for lunch the next day.

We finally joined the "cool kid's club" and brought an air fryer - oh so good!!!! First recipe Craig made was garlic parmesan potatoes - delicious!

Clay was inspired to write his own philosophy :)

Thrifty Thursday

Clay and I popped into 2 oppies on Sunday morning :)

At the first shop Clay found 2x bags of cars $2 each

At the 2nd shop we scored a bag of wooden train set with instructions $10
