School Holidays

Kate, James & the boys were down for the school holidays and Tim was stayed for a few days on his way back from Brisbane to pick up a car, so we all enjoyed spending some time together at mum's each night after we finished work.

Cupcakes for Bec & Dale's visit

Bec & Dale were dropping in for a quick visit on there way home from Brisbane, so I decided to bake some cupcakes for our afternoon tea.  I baked and Clay was my kitchen hand / official taste tester :)

The chocolate cupcakes had choc / peanut butter flavoured powder in them, so I decided to make half the batch with a spoonful of peanut butter in the center - turned out really well :)

Lemon myrtle cupcakes with lemon icing and buckeye (choc/peanut butter) cupcakes and chocolate icing - delicious!

It's been 6 months since there last visit, so they were surprised to see how big Clay had grown and that he was walking everywhere :)

We tried to take a few photos, but Clay was a bit too wiggly / hyped up on sugar to stay still long enough - so excuse the blurry photos LOL

A Morning at the Botanic Gardens

The Botanic Gardens is definately our favourite place to go for family walks :)  Nanny joined us this time and we took a different path around the lake.

Ducks, water hens and yes, a pelican enjoying the water!!

Clay thought he was so clever walking by himself :)  He did run off a few times, but mostly walked along side daddy, holding his hand.

Clay's First Haircut

We decided today was the day to take Clay for his first haircut!  We took him to the hairdresser Craig uses and sat him up on daddy's lap ready :)

He sat quietly and with no fussing while she snipped away (and mummy sooked about how big her "baby" was LOL)

After awhile he got a bit fidgety so we played "Minions" clips on you-tube and he sat there happily until she got the electric trimmers out and frightened him a bit.

All done!  How handsome does he look?!?!

While we were there I decided to get my hair chopped off into a bob style - love it!!  No photos yet though.
