New Years Eve

Last day of 2018! Wow this year has flown by!!

We headed to the Botanical Gardens this morning to check out a new playground that opened recently- lovely big space with lots to do and even a water play area, which was popular with all the kids on such a warm day.

After a swim in the afternoon, we got dressed and headed to Bargara for our tradtion of a picnic and watching the 8pm fireworks.

Back home by 9.30pm and an early night for all of us.  This year has been a BIG year for all of us and next year has even bigger and more exciting things in store for us...bring it on!!

Fishing

Clay and I both got new fishing rods for Christmas, so we decided since the weather was perfect it would be a great day to try them out!  We invited Poppy to join us and headed down to Elliott Heads for the morning.

We managed to catch a few small fish that we threw back and we all had a lovely relaxing morning.  Clay had a wonderful time, but he wasn't keen on being anywhere near the fish LOL  I can't wait to take him again soon.

Christmas Day - Part 2

Once it cooled down a bit, we all headed outside so the boys could play with their remote control cars and take some photos.

We headed home for a fews hours rest and Clay played with his new toys, then back in the car and over to Craig's mum's house for more presents and a roast dinner.

After such a big, fun filled day we all crashed early! Hope your Christmas was lots of fun with family and friends and you were spoilt with lovely gifts xo

Christmas Day - Part 1

Wow another fun filled Christmas day! As usual there are heaps of photos - so will share the day in two pista.

We were up at about 6.30am with a very excited little boy who was excited that Santa had FINALLY arrived :)  We all hopped into the big bed and looked at all the goodies in his stocking.

Then it was out into the lounge room to open presents.  There was much surprise and excitement to find an electronic fire engine under the tree!!  Clay quicly got the hang of how to drive it and what buttons to press to make the siren go, beep the horn and work the bubble hose- he was doing laps around the lounge in no time! LOL

Mid morning we headed over to mum's to open more presents and then enjoy a roast lunch.

After lunch we headed into the air conditioning and played a silly xmas ring toss game I brought along and to play with new toys a bit more.

Elf Antics Day 21-24

Day 21

Day 22

Day 23

Day 24

Our last day with Peppermint and his antics, before he heads back to the North Pole with Santa tonight.

Clay seems to have warmed up to him  - still calls him a naughty elf and puts him back under the tree (or near the magic door (think he hopes Peppermint will go back home before he gets the blame for all the naughty antics LOL).

Christmas Lights

Tonight we headed out to see the Christmas lights around town again.  We took Nanny with us and got out and walked around looking at the displays.  There is one street that nearly all the houses are decorated- it's one we visit every year.

Everyday Moments

We are very proud of Clay - he got an award for swimming.  We have noticed how much more confident he is in our pool at home too.

Clay had his daycare concert- it was so cute!  Clay was a little hesitant to sing on stage, but ince he spotted all of us (Ma ma and nanny came too) he was more confident.  Daycare policy is no photos, but the teachers had cameras and managed to snap this sweet photo.

Craig took Clay to a holiday activity at the shopping centre (I missed out because I've started working Monday's while the other admin person is on maternity leave) - decorating a gingerbread man .

I found a surprise gift from Kylie waiting at home yesterday - felt spoilt and made my day :)

After nothing last year, it's nice to have mangoes on our tree this year.  There aren't many, but the ones on there are HUGE! Can't wait for them to ripen and taste them!

Kate and the boys are down for the school holidays  - so that means "cuzzies fun"! This morning they came over so we could all have a swim, followed by an ice block, some lunch and playing together.
