Clay & I met up for a coffee date with Kylie & Chloe - they are sooo cute together!

We got this sweet book pack from the local library for the First 5 years promotion.

Picking mangoes off our tree - eating lots and freezing the rest.

A cute and delicious cupcake from a friend's baby shower :)

Our cute little super hero!  Daddy was supposed to be sorting out his cot, when they came out of the room with Clay dressed up LOL

We had a quiet Australia Day at home - enjoyed a swim in the afternoon.

DIY Dried Rosemary

After lots of lovely rain and good weather, my rosemary plant has gotten out of control :)  It needed a trim and I didn't want to wast the lovely herbs, so I googled and found I could dry it in the oven.

I only dried a bit to trial first.  I cut some sprigs, washed and dried, then put in the oven on low till for about an hour till the stem went brittle.  It made the whole house smell lovely :)  After it cooled down I pulled the rosemary off the stems and have stored in an air tight container.  The little bit I dried make a lot, so I will be giving some to both mum's.

Chloe's 1st Birthday

We joined Chloe & her family to celebrate her 1st birthday yesterday!  It was a lovely, relaxed afternoon.  There were swimming pools / water slides set up for the babies and big kids and we just sat around chatting and watching the kids enjoy the cool water.

I have decided to join the planner craze this year!  I usually have a wall calendar with birthdays written on it, but all social / appt are kept on my phone calendar.  I wanted to try and store everything in the one place.

I was inspired once I saw this gorgeous planner from Kmart :)  It was a great price ($12) for an organiser set - it included magnetic page marker, sticky notes, pen, ruler, stickers, pocket, dividers, etc. The only negative is they spelt Wednesday wrong- crazy!?!?

I love the idea of decorating the planner, but for now I will just stick to using it to keep our social events and appointments scheduled.

Succulent Garden

It's been a work in progress over the last year, but I have finally planted my succulent garden.  We started by pulling all the ferns / plants out of the garden bed, then left it due to not knowing what exactly we wanted to do with the pot / area.  After getting some ideas together I decided to plant up the large pot with succulents.  Last week it was time to put it into action :)  I dug the cane out of the pot and removed as many pebbles as I could.  I planted the succulents I had brought from the markets, plus some cuttings from mum.  I also dug up the majority of the pebbles around the garden bed.  Once I remove them all, we will remove the wooden edging and lay down turf.  The pot of rosemary will stay there, but the other large cement pot will go.  I forgot to take a "before" picture, but found this one.

Pineapple Thank You Gift

Mum had a party last weekend and one of the guests gave her this Thank You gift!  It's a bottle of wine with chocolates glued around the bottom, with plastic leaves around the neck and then wrapped in cellophane.  What a super cute idea!!

New Year's Eve

Craig & I really enjoyed the relaxed (and less crowded) 2014 NYE at the beach, so decided to make it a tradition and go again this NYE.  We packed a picnic and invited family & friends to join us.  We set up our chairs and blankets in the same spot as last year and settled in for the evening.  Both mums and Tanya & Bert joined us (Kate, James and the boys were travelling back from Brisbane and didn't arrive till just as the fireworks started).  It was lovely to just sit and watch the sunset and chat with everyone. We got out the glow sticks once it got dark and only stayed for the family fireworks at 8pm.   Once again Clay was in awe of the fireworks :)
