Cricut Retreat - Day 2

Day 2 of retreat :)  

While waiting for everyone to arrive / get ready- I made some Cricut cutiie stickers to put on my cutting mat covers and scrap container :)

First project we did was a sign using chalk paint (our choice of design), with a demonstration on how to make stencils and rolled paper flowers.

Next project was using shrink plastic - I made butterfly earrings.

We did sublimation on a mug and used a mug press.

My lucky door prize!

I got to do a few small projects - labelling Clay's Switch game case, adding Clay's name to his Santa sack and adding the Cricut cutie to my tool case.

All up it was a fabulous weekend of creating and I loved spending time with Kristy!

Cricut Retreat - Day 1

Kristy and I went to Cricut retreat this weekend!  With all the rain and flooding, we were worried Kristy may not even get here, but after a 6 hour trip (from Murgon) with a few detours, she made it Friday afternoon! 

We headed off Saturday morning for 12 hours of projects,/ workshops, meeting new people, challenges, crafting, prize and yummy food!

Our very generous goodie bag! Full of items for our projects and extras, plus a sample pack of HTV.

One of the lovely ladies made us all keyrings with sublimation!

Thrifty Thursday

Clay and I popped into our 2 fave oppies on Saturday:)

First shop I found an item on my list - polar fleece blanket $3 (for the piggies)

Clay had some tooth fairy / pocket money to spend and found this game $3 (no missing parts!)

At the 2nd shop I found this necklace $2

Student of the Week

Week 3 and Clay received Student of the Week for "Fantastic work in class"!  We are so proud of him!  Unfortunately due to covid rules there are no assemblies, so he received the award in class.

Everyday Moments

I'm kinda scared to know what's living in my mailbox! Consensus on FB seems to believe it's snails! 

First day of school and Clay lost another tooth that night - I think he looks so stinking cute!

Craig's team had dinner out with the visiting bosses, I had the most delicious karaage chicken salad! 

Cohan and Jack got their hats I made them - they love them and think they are "so cool" :)

When you have a missed parcel notice and your 2 fave people collect it for you without asking and send a photo to tell you LOL

It was a busy day today- we spent a few hours with mum this morning - her friend Trish is visiting for the week and snapped this cute picture of Clay and I.

Bec dropped in for a quick visit on her way to the Gold Coast - lovely to spend an hour with her!

Then we had a thunderstorm late this afternoon, followed by this gorgeous sunset.

Cricut Creations - First Day Chalkboard

I have loved seeing all the "First Day" chalkboards and knew I wanted to make one for Clay.  I couldn't find one design I liked, so I decided to create my own using different elements.  It was fiddly and there may have been some (lots) of swearing, but I love how it turned out :)

First Day of Grade 2

After 8 weeks of holidays,  Clay was ready and excited to head back to school this morning :)
