Kingaroy Baconfest Weekend - Day 3

Bacon pancakes again for breakfast, before packing up some nibbles for morning tea and heading off for a drive to look around.  First stop was Bjelke-Petersen dam.

Then we continued on to Goomeri for a look around and morning tea in a lovely park.

Back to Murgon to pack up and head home.  We had a fabulous weekend with friends and going to the bacon festival!  We can't wait for our next adventure :)

Kingaroy Baconfest Weekend - Day 2

We were up early and having bacon pancakes with caramel sauce and whipped cream- so delicious!

Boo and Kristy wanted to take me to a 2nd hand shop on the way ...this place was insane!!  Packed from floor to ceiling with sooooo much stuff!  It was pretty expensive :(  Craig was pretty impressed with some of the military stuff there.

Kingaroy Baconfest!!  We all had our bacon shirts on and were ready to eat and shop up a storm!!

We all got lots of compliments on our shirts, especially Craig LOL

Maple bacon donut - soooooo delicious!

Brandy bacon ice cream filled donut - brandy flavour was a too strong :(

There was fantastic live music all day, a pin up girls competition, meat smoking competions and demo's, lots of food and craft stalls.

Salted caramel, bacon and pecan icecream- yummy!!

We watched Miguel Maestre doing a cooking demo- he was pretty entertaining to watch :)

Funnel cake with Nutella and cream - yum!

I couldn't resist these cute piggy earrings!

We headed to the Commercial Hotel for dinner and to listen to live bands - it nice way to finish a big day before we headed home to relax a bit before crashing.

Kingaroy Baconfest Weekend - Day 1

We packed up the camper on Friday and hit the road for the Kingaroy Baconfest! Kristy and her friend Flurry travelled up from the Gold Coast Thusrday and we all stayed at Boo & Jack's place in Murgon (only 45 mins away from Kingaroy).

It was a lovely drive (approx 2.5 hrs), but we were a bit worried by the excessive smoke we spotted , apparently they had just finished back burning (to help with bush fires in Summer).

We arrived mid afternoon, so set up the camper and enjoyed just relaxing and catching up with everyone.
