Childers Multicultural Festival

We had an amazing day at the Childers Multicultural Festival today!  We checked out all the stalls, ate some delicious food and watched some amazing entertainers (including Kate Ceberano). Clay told us he had the best day ever :)  He got to eat pancakes, made a candle, had a ride on the little red train, shopped up a storm and got to see so many new things.

I had my first RDO on Friday and was determined to be productive :) I poured some more resin earrings & keyrings and scrapped 2x layouts!

Thrifty Thursday

I popped back to the FB seller's and brought some more stamps and dies (I was having non-buyers remorse LOL).  This lot cost me just under $30.

At the 2nd shop I found a shirt for Craig $10 and a dress for myself $6

At the 3rd shop I found 2 Enid Blyton books $2 & 50c

At the last op shop I found a number of goodies.  A dress $7

Cute little watering can $2

Book for Clay $2

Board shorts for Clay $3

Clay's school reading case zipper broke this week and I found a replacement one BNWT $1

Sunday morning Clay and I popped into another op shop on the way to Spotlight. Clay found this bag of Mighty Beanz toys $3

Everyday Moments

Craig made chicken mango curry with the spice mix we brought at the markets - bit too hot for me, but was delicious with natural yoghurt and nann bread :)

Finally cracked open my bottle of rum to celebrate serving my first week at my new job!  I was feeling a little overwhelmed with it all, but I have settled into it and am loving the role!

It was Clay's class turn to do the presentation at parade last week.

Craig spotted Tater one afternoon on the way home from work, so we took Clay to see it - he thought it was fantastic :)

Clay brought a nose to support Red Nose Day - so cute!

Resin - Coasters

I brought a silicon set of measuring cups and pouring cups - I didn't like the idea of throwing out little plastic mixing pots everytime I used resin.

I marked how much resin is needed on molds (it was helpfully written on the packaging) to save any guess work.  I also went over the silicon measuring cup marks so I can see them better.

Second attempt at glitter keyrings- fingers crossed!

I made this coaster decorated with resin mix ins (printed plastic cut outs) from Kmart - I think it turned out really cute!  It does have a few bubbles, but I'm still learning :)

My 2nd attempt was a lot more successful- no large bubbles this time :)
