Thrifty Thursday

It's been forever since I've been op shopping!!  Monday Craig swapped his RDO to do first aid training, so after swimming lessons Mum, Clay and I hit 2 of our fave oppies!

At the first shop I scored this small bag for $3 and 2x Sistema containers for $2 each.

At the 2nd shop I found wooden shapes 50c and embossing powder $2

Two Australian themed Christmas books $2 & $1.  I opped the 12 Days book last year, but this copy was in perfect condition.

Saving the best till last...this handbag I brought for $10!  Once i got home I was having 2nd thoughts if it was a handbag or toiletry bag,  so googled it and discovered it was a leather bag valued at $160!!! Wow!

Have you opped anything fabulous lately?

Scrapbook Retreat 2018

After lots of counting down the days, discussing what to pack, shopping and then actually packing...it was finally time for retreat!!  Kristy arrived Friday lunch and gave me Kaiser goodie bag she got for me at the Kaiser shop opening day and some Krispy Kreme Hallowween donuts! We swapped other goodies we had for each other.  We popped down to the scraproom to do some last minute packing and then chilled out till Craig got home.

We arrived at Chaverim at about 6.30pm, got set up, had dinner and then started scrapping up a storm!  We didn't get to bed till 2am!!

Up bright and early for another day of scrapping :)

Another late night - 1am for me and 2am for Kristy!

It was another fabulous retreat - lots of yummy meals, chatting, creating and listening to music.

Kristy really enjoyed her first retreat and will be definitely be returning next year!

Dinosaur Garden

This morning mum and I took Clay to Bunnings for the kid's DIY activity - making a dinosaur or fairy garden.   These activities are so well set up and everything is provided for free!  Clay filled up the lid with potting mix and plants provided, then time to decorate!!  Ma Ma had to be reined in - she was going a little over the top adding stuff LOL  There was so much to choose from - coloured gravel, coloured glass pebbles, dinsoaurs, wood chips, insects, terracotta pots, coloured sticks, etc.

Everyday Moments

Craig and I had a lunch date at Lonestar (new fave place) while waiting for our new tyres.

My desert rose has bloomed - branches look a bit sad and bare though.

Clay all dressed and looking spunky ready for daycare photos :)

The weather has been warm and sunny lately so we headed to the beach for a play in the park, then a swim.  It was a bit too cold to swim, but Clay enjoyed splashing in the water.

Bec and Bella stayed overnight on their way through to the Gold Coast for holidays.  Bec went to outrigging training early in the morning, so the kids and I chilled and played.

Flowers AND chocolates for my wedding anniversary- spoilt!

Lunch out to celebrate Kate's birthday.

Sunday brunch and a long overdue catch up with Cathie and Kylie!

Then an afternnon at the beach with Craig's family for aBBQ.

Fishing

Due to Kate and the boys having a virus, we haven't spent any time with them these school holidays :(  However they were all on the mend and it was a gorgeous day,  so we headed over to the river to join them for some fishing.

It was low tide and too muddy / slippery for the boys to go fishing so they collected rocks, hunted crabs, learnt to play the harmonoca ?!?! And played.

Clay really wanted to fish, so we we let him have a play with rod - he loved it.  Craig and I are going to take him somewhere more kid friendly to fish next weekend.
