Australia Day 2023

We usually head to Bargara for the Australia Day celebrations, but work friends suggested a pub about 20 mins outside of Bundaberg, so we thought we would check it out. We spent the day in the cool shade instead of the hot sun - winning! Clay had an absolute ball - he spent the whole time running around with a water pistol with all the other kids there!  He even wanted to have a go at the watermelon eating competition lol  We enjoyed a delcious lunch, a few sneaky drinks, listening to live music and watching all the Aussie day activities! It was a great day out!  Finished of with a swim at home and Chinese for dinner :)

First Day of School

Yesterday was Clay's first day of grade 3 and he was excited to go back :) He's in a grade 3/4 combo class and was happy to make some new friends.  

Chinese New Year

Yesterday we headed to the botanic gardens to join in the Chinese new year celebrations. There was origami, marjhong demonstrations, mask painting, food stalls and lots of  entertainment - a lovely afternoon out!

School Holidays - Week 6

Last week of the school holidays - so lots of activities squeezed in :) There was drawing, swimming, games, watching movies and chilling. 

Tuesday Nanny and Clay braved the rain and headed  into town to go to the Kids In The Kitchen activity.  He learnt to cook pizza and loved it!

Friday they went to an inflatibles play.  Clay ran around and totally wore himself out LOL!

Saturday morning we headed to Bunnings to pick some paint sample colours ready to renovate the spare room for Clay's new room. The Chinese lions dancing was to celebrate Lunar new year.  We saw a hot rod display, so stopped to have a look, then had lunch at a new place - delicious chicken & mushroom crepe!

Sunday I finished getting the last of Clay's school stuff ready, we went to the Chinese new year celebrations and ended the day with a swim.
