Daycare Photos 2018

We got Clay's daycare photos back today and we are so happy with them!  They look lovely and natural.  We will get some printed onto a canvas for ourselves and the grandies for xmaa.

Getting ready for Peppermint

Not long now till Clay's elf - Peppermint  - arrives! I've been adding to the props in preparation - either from cheapie shops or online.   Kristy has brought us a few bits and pieces too.  

I can't wait to see Clay's reaction -he's all about Christmas and Santa at the moment :)

Everyday Moments

We spent a few days in Noosa- just relaxing, driving around sightseeing, swimming and eating yummy food - just what we needed to recharge the batteries!

Finally!!! Got my message board onto the wall :)

We have been enjoying afternoons swimming in the pool.

Clay have been enjoying the waterpark after his swimming lessons on Mondays.

Work Christmas Party

Today we went to my work Christmas party - lunch and barefoot bowls.  Craig was working, so mum joined me as my "plus one". After a yummy lunch, we headed out to the bowling greens.

The bowls club had organised members to explain the game / rules and help us.  The guy teaching the kids was awesome - had the kids set up and playing in no time.  The kids all had a fantastic time - it eas so cute to watch Clay :)

Mum, Cathie, Mel and I formed a group and played together.  Mum had never played before and really enjoyed it too.

OTP - Christmas Bell

Today at Simply Crafty - Helen taught a mini class on how to make Christmas bells from mini terracotta pots.  

I'm not great at painting so decided to use some new die cuts that Kristy sent me.  I LOVE how this turned out!!

DIY Project - Day 1

Mum decided she wanted to make bird houses to give as Christmas gifts, so I thought I would make one too :)  

Today was the day we started!!  The jigsaw blade (only had one lol) broke halfway cutting out the first one, so she cut it with a hand saw and I sanded all the pieces.

Next was nailing all the sides together.

Off course our little off-sider had to "help".  Love the tongue poking oit in concentration:)

All sides nailed up!  I chose to make my house shorter than mum's.

Everyday Moments

Early finish at daycare and work + visit to the playground = one very happy little boy!

It was "Teddy Bear's Picnic " week at daycare last week.

This art installation was in town last weekend, so we went down to have a look, then headed to the beach for a swim.  We also found the painted rock - will hide in a new spot for aomeone else to find :)

Ma Ma found this reindeer costume for $6 at the op shop. Had to bribe Clay with an ice cream to actually put it on lol  Never too early for Christmas!
