Four of the cards I made over the weekend! The shaker card was inspored by a Jennifer McGuire card.

Card Camp - July
After counting downs for weeks Kristy and Boo arrived late Friday night - ready for card camp!! We all had a fantastic weeekend!! No retail therapy this trip, but lots more crafting done.
We were up early Saturday - had pancakes for breakfast then headed down to the scrap!! Kristy brought Clay a craft activity, so we started off with that :)
Kristy had a heap of card orders she needed to work on and got straight onto it, I procrastinated for awhile and sorted a heap of my dies and stamps out instrad.instead
One of the cutting plates on my die machine broke - just what we didn't need at the start of card camp! Unfortunately it was the only C plate I have, but we managed to use the halves LOL
Sunday Kristy and I practiced our colouring skills :) She had some new stamps and copics she wanted to play with, but was unsure how to colour an all black costime. We found a similar coloured image online and together worked out how to shade and blend. We were both super happy how our colouring turned out :)
We were both very productive- I managed to get 12 cards made and Kristy made 22!
Kristy and Boo headed home this morning :( Next card camp is retreat in October - can't wait!

Thrifty Thursday
I have been lucky enough to pop into a few op shops over the last few weekends.
Our local Lifeline shops have a FB page and advertised that they received these lamps and furniture frkm the Gold Coast games village. I usually avoid 2nd hand electrical items, but knew that these had only been used recently for 2 weeks. I was lucky enough to grab the last 2 (from a donation of 50) for $4 each - one for me and one for Kristy.
An exciting find - this large blue quiche dish $2! I had a yellow dish (that was also found at an op shop) that we used all the time and was so sad when it got broken.
Cute little Pyrex bowl 20c
This dress!!! Swoon!! It fits beautifully! An amazing price of $8!!
Frame $2. There were 2, but the 2nd one had a few damages that I couldn't fix.
Cute storage tin 50c
Captain's hat $2 - thought it was tume we started a dress up box for Clay.
Have uou found anything amazing lately?

A quick card I made last weekend for Andrew's birthday. It was made using only dies.
I had a quick play yesterday- made this card using a mixed media background I made months again.
I was supposed to be tidying my scraproom, but got distracted by some new goodies;)

Everyday Moments
Clay has taken a shine to "mummy's scrapbook room" and I often have a little offsider wanting to create. We made Daddy a card the other day.
Helping Nanny make a batch of scones.
Craig and Clay headed to the beach last Sunday afternoon to celebrate Andrew's birthday. Clay had a wonderful time - he played cricket and in the park.
Today we visited Julie so we could meet and have snuggles with her new puppy Jemima.

I haven't made many scrapbook layouts this year - really need to get motivated!! I have managed to get a few finished over the last few Simply Crafty days. The ice cream LO is one I was inspired by a similar design on Pinterest.

Simply Crafty Christmas in July
I had a lovely day for our Christmas in July. I demonstrated how to make a pop up box card - it was great to see what everyone created. We enjoyed a delicious luncha nd exchanged Secret Santa gifts. So nice to catch up with everyone.

School Holiday Fun
Today we met up with some friends at the shopping centre so the kids could do the free activity - painting dinosaurs! It was a great set up- the kids had lab coats to wear and got a bag with a plastic dinosaur, brush and paints. There were a few different dinosaurs for the kids to chose from and a girl gave us each a 2nd bag for the kids to paint later. The kids also got a free meal voucher and an ice cream coupon. Clay had a wonderful time and it was fabulous to catch up with everyone.
