Sunday Walk

We headed to Bargara for yesterday's walk - it was a nice change!  Clay decided to ride his scooter this time and enjoyed a stop and play in the playground both up and back :)

Chinese New Year

Last night we headed into the town centre to meet up with our mums and check out the Chinese New Year celebrations.  There were displays, food vans, market stalls, rides and various demonstrations.

Clay LOVED the Mini Piggy Zoo (Year of the Pig)!

At the theatre there was a free show of performers from our sister city in Nanning, China.  There were singers, dancers, acrobat and plate spinners.  We weren't sure how Clay would go (sitting and watching), but he thought it was great - clapped and cheered - and sat through the whole show.

We got our chairs and some dinner and waited for the lantern parade.

Then there was a fire twirler and it finished with an amazing fireworks display.

We all had a wonderful night and look forward to next year's celebration!

Charlee's 3rd Birthday

This morning Clay and I headed to the park for Charlee's birthday party.  Clay spent most of the time playing in the playground, but did stop to have a cupcake and then sing happy birthday :)  Ee both had a lovely time - it's so nice to catch up with everyone.

Card

A combination of laziness, too hot in my scraproom and a sore hip (uncomfortable to sit for too long) has meant I haven't been creative much lately.  I had to make a birthday card for a party this weekend, so I was motivated to have a little play last night.  First card for 2019!

Ginger Beer Factory

This morning mum, Clay and I headed over to visit the Ginger Beer factory.  We had never been before, so it was a fun adventure :)  Mum wanted to get some customised bottle labels and drink packs for a birthday present- what a cool idea!  We had a look around the visitor centre (the factory is not open for visitors).

It was fun playing tourist for the morning :)

Thrifty Thursday

Well it appears after sparodic visits last year, 2019 is the year for weekly visits :D  Makes me a happy camper!

Top $4 - was missing a large button on the collar, so removed the other one and will stitch collar down.

Large basket $2 Perfect timing - was heading to Kmart to look for one to use as pool toy storage!

Mum and her friend went op shoping and each scored these earrings from a freebie basket for spending over $10 - and they both gave them to me :)

Everyday Moments

The rogue tomato bush is keeping us well supplied with cherry tomatoes!

Every weekend we have been enjoying a swim in our pool :)

On Sunday afternoon we headed to Burnett Heads to go for a walk so Clay could practice riding his bike.  It was a lovely way to spend aomw family time together.

Monday after swimming  Craig, Clay and Nanny headed to the Botanical gardens so Clay could ride his scooter.
