Weekend Fun

Craig had yesterday off and worked today, so we squeezed in 2x family fun days this weekend :)

Yesterday morning we headed to the play centre next to my gym - Clay played while I worked out, then I joined them. Craig took Clay thinks it's part of my gym and keeps saying "Mummys gym is so fun!" bahaha

Then some op shopping and chinese for lunch.   We had a relaxing afternoon at home and played with the bucket of foam beads I brought at the op ahops.

This afternoon after Craig finished work, we packed up a picnic and headed to The Hummock for something different to do.

After the picnic we headed to Bargara, so Clay could have a play at the turtle playground and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset.

I love our family fun days :)

Cards

I have been working on a few cards recently- the kookaburra one is to add to my stash and the fishing one is for Craig's birthday :)

Botanic Gardens Adventure

Craig had to work today, so Ma Ma joined us for today's fun day adventures.  We decided to head to the Botanic Gardens to feed the ducks and let Clay ride his scooter.

We spied LOTS of lizards sunning themselves on tje rocks around the ponds.

Fed bread to the ducks, eels and turtles.

This huge goose came waddling over for some bread too.

The steam train was running so we decided to have a ride.  Clay was really excited cause the last time it was a diesel train, so this one was more like Thomas the Tank Engine :)

We finished off our adventure with more scooting around the gardens.

We all had a lovely time and decided next visit we would look at the Chinese and Japanese sections.

Thrifty Thursday

After getting my hair cut on Friday Mum, Clay and I popped into 2 op shops.  I hadn't been to one shop in months- it was nice to see it had been refurbished / reorganised.  I got the beads and blue dress from there.

An Afternoon at the Beach with the Cuzzies

Kate and the boys were in town for the weekend, so we arranged to head to beach on Saturday morning, unfortunately we woke to overcast weather :(  Mum and the boys came over and the kids played with the toys and watched a movie.  It started to clear up a bit by the afternoon , so we packed our towels and swimmers and headed to the basin for a swim!

Mum went into the water to watch the boys and I snapped photos as they swam, ran in and out of the water, built fortresses in the sand, collected shells and chased seagulls!  I waded / watched the boys in the water for a while too.

We love our fun filled adventures with Ma Ma and the cuzzies!

Everyday Moments

My aunty got a new puppy - Clay had fun running around playing with her.

We baked and decorated a cake for Poppy's 70th birthday.  There were a LOT of the choc drops eaten while we were decorating  LOL

Dentist check up.

Craig is a HUGE St George Dragon's (football) fan and Clay has been asking for a "dragon shirt like daddy's" (we have briught him one for his birthday!!) - so you can imagine how excited he was to find a supporter merchandise in the supermarket (we only find QLD supporter gear here ' NSW team atuff you usually have to buy online).  Craig couldn't resist, so Clay got a toy dragon and flags - one happy little Dragon fan!! :)

Another haircut, but this time Clay sat on the chair by himself and didnt make a fuss when Simone used the clippers :)

New Haircut

This morning I headed to the hairdressers to get my hair chopped off into a new style.  I wasn't sure how it would look and I'm still getting used to the big difference, but I am starting to really like it :)

Thrifty Thursday

In between our adventures, grocery shopping and Chinese lunch on Sunday I popped into an op shop for a quick look.  Clay scored a lot of goodies this visit :)

Bag $2 Huge hit with our Cars / Lightening McQueen obsessed boy!

Pae Patrol fire helmet 20c - another huge hit with our Paw Patrol / Marshall fan!!

Bag of mixed toys $2 - have kept all the vehicles and the rest of toys were donated back.

Silver ball earrings $2 - not sureif they are sterling silver or plated.  Guess I will find out if they start to tarnish lok
