Thrifty Thursday

Last Friday after Clay's dentist appointment, mum and I went to 2 op shops in Bargara.  They are some  of fave shops, but I rarely get there so it was nice to wander around and have a good look.

At the first shop I tried on a heap of clothes :)

Layouts

I had a productive day last Sunday at Simply Crafty.  I worked on some half finished layouts and scrapped 2 new layouts.  My first one was using the Sketch for  this month's challenge at Kraft+.

Sunday Fun-day

Even though the temperatures have dropped lately, we have been  having beautiful weather.  We enjoyed the afternoon at another park - lots of running, sliding and playing :)  We walked down to the lake and watched the remote control sail boats and collected feathers.

Animal Dress Up Day

This week was animal dress up days at Clay's kindy :)  Tuesday he was dressed as a very cute puppy!  He wasn't too keen on wearing the costume at first, but once he got there and the teacher's made a fuss over him he was happy LOL  He did ask to go as a crocodile, but we didn't have a costume and I didn't have enough time / notice to make one.  I went online and found that Kmart had a dinosaur costume that could pass as a crocodile so Craig and Clay popped to the shops after work and grabbed one.  He was very excited by Wednesday's costume!  Thursday we offered to put on a giraffe costume, but he refused a number of times, of course once we got to  kindy he wanted it, but it was too late.

Some quick and easy cards... New home card for my bestie and horse card was  Mother's Day card for my MIL.

Everyday Moments

Twinsies!! LOL Every time Craig's team is on TV, Clay insists they both wear their jerseys- so cute xo

Clay decided he wanted to be a super hero - it's fun seeing him play with his dress up box.

Mum, Clay and I popped into a furniture store so mum could show me the new lounge she brought.  They were celebrating the grand opening, so Clay got to have a go on the jumping castle and a yummy snow-cone.  Afterwards we grabbed some lunch at HJ and Clay had a play in the playground section.

We made biscuits recently.  Nanny brought a Paw Patrol box mix and Clay was super excited to make them.

My friend Chris and his partner Anita stayed overnight on their way through to Rockhampton on Friday night.  It was lovely to meet Anita and see Chris - haven't seen him since my 40th birthday.  They gave me a gorgeous potted plant as a thank you gift - let's hope I can keep it alive! LOL 

Sunday Adventures

This afternoon after I finished at scrap club, we headed to a park to our family fun adventure.  There is a dirt bike track that is suitable for Clay's size, so we took his scooter over for him to ride.

From there we headed to the playground.

We found an electronic game, so Clay and I spent ages playing the tag game.  Craig said it's funny / scary to watch two very competitive people play together LOL

After that the flying fox was finally empty, so Clay had a few goes.  He forget to hang on tightly, so fell off at the end a few times oops! Ha ha

We collected a few pinecones on our walk around the park, so we are goung to make "monsters" from them.  We love  our Sunday fun days and it's always nice to visit a new place :)

Cardboard Box Cubby

Today we headed over to mum's to check out her new flooring and lounge suite - it looks fantastic!  She saved one of the furniture boxes so we could make a cubby house for Clay :)  Mum used a knife to cut out a door and some windows, then we all got busy painting / decorating the cubby!  We painted for ages and all had a fabulous time - I love these creative activities!  Clay thought it was amazing :)

Cards

I had 2 card orders - a Mother's Day card and a birthday card using her faves - orange, scary skulls and sunflowers.

The Mother's Day card came together really quickly and easily.

I struggled with the skulls concept, but came up with the first card, but worried it might be too masculine so made a 2nd card.

The lady that ordered the cards loved the Mother's Day card and my 1st skull card :)

Mother's Day

I had a lovely Mother's Day today - woke up to an excited luttle boy waiting  to give me presents :)  I got some much needed winter PJ and some beautiful handmade gifts  from kindy.  I loved all of the kindy gifts  - the "who is my mum" page - made me laugh! Craig cooked us bacon and poached eggs for breakfast.

We headed to our fave Chinese restaurant for lunch with our mum's.  We gave them their gifts  - they loved the painted pots - and enjoyed a delicious lunch.  Afterwards we listened to a band there and waited for some raffles to be drawn. It was great to sit and catch up.

I really enjoyed my day :)
