Halloween

This year Clay was adamant he wanted to decorate the house and have trick or treaters come to us, so off to the shops we went and brought bits and pieces over the last month.  This morning we got up and decorated - my favourite is the giant spiders web!

Clay decided he wanted a spooky costume this year, but looking around they were a bit too scary for him and we thought he might use a cute costume from his dress up box, until he found this green skeleton costume.

Lindalee, Josh and Jaxon joined us for the night- love their costumes!  We had nibbles while we waited for the trick or treaters to arrive, then we're kept busy for about 2.5 hours with a steady flow of visitors.  Clay had a ball greeting everyone and handing out lollies :)  

Milbi Festival Sunset Launch

This afternoon we went to Bargara for the Milbi (aboriginal word for turtle) festival 2021  sunset launch. There was a smoking ceremony, welcome to country and traditional performances. X Factor winner Dami Im performed and sang a new song from her CD that was released today. The Dead Puppet Society performed the March of the Reef show. It was a fun evening :)

Thrifty Thursday

It's becoming a regular  routine to pop into the oppies on a Saturday after op shopping and I'll loving it!!  I popped into my usual 2 oppies between errands on Saturday.

At the first shop I brought this cute Tupperware container $4

At the 2nd shop I found a swim shirt for Clay (much too big ATM, but he'll grow into it) $3

Bowl $2 - large and deep - perfect 2nd water bowl for Indy now the weather has warmed up.

Cards

I was feeling inspired to make cards using my Cricut last night - there are lots of cute cards on the design space, so I picked a few quick ones to make.  Love how they all turned out!

Colour Run

Clay's school had the colour run today (it was cancelled last week due to rain) - he was so excited!  I finished work a bit earlier so we could go over and watch the fun :)  Each grade got to run through the course 3x times and get totally covered in coloured powder!  They finished with a group photo and an ice block :)  

Thrifty Thursday

After paddling Saturday morning Mum, Clay and I went to look at 2 op shops. It's nice getting back to more regular op shopping again!

Everyday Moments

On the last day of term Clay earnt an invitation to his school's reward day - he was super excited because they were were walking to the playground at Lake Ellen for a play.  They also had a movie and games - what a fun way to finish off term 3!  School recently shared pics of the day on FB -

I'm so glad it's warmed up - I was back at my happy place last weekend!  The water was lovely and warm.  We did start off at Cedars Crossing, but the water was too low and murky looking, so we headed to Sandy Hook.  There were a lot of weeds there too, but the water was lovely and clear.

We had our first swim in the pool - it's still pretty cool so I didn't get in, but Clay braved it :)

Another beautiful morning on the water again this weekend! First time I've ever accidentally tipped out of my kayak and Craig managed to catch it on the drone video LOL

My little crafting buddy...living his best life while I'm scrapping - yummy snack, comfy chair and the tablet LOL 

Back in the pool again yesterday - it's still a bit cool though, but I did get in this time :)  I will have to clean up and inflate all the pool floaties and buy some new pool noodles.
