Agnes Water & Fireworks

Today was our local show public holiday. Since we took Clay to the fun night with rides a couple of months ago, we decided to skip the show and head to Agnes Water for the day.  We had fish & chips by the beach, then Clay played on the beach and had a swim (even though the water was freezing).

We went up to the lookout at 1770, but it started to rain so decided to skip doing the walk around the headlands.  

Before we headed home, we stopped in for some gelato- very delicious!  I love the gorgeous flamingo wallpaper in the shop :)

After dinner we headed over to the showgounds to watch the fireworks. 

 

Crazy Hair / Crazy Socks Day

Today was Crazy Hair / Crazy Socks Day for school. I used a LOT of gel and hair spray to get his hair spiked up and then painted stripes- he LOVED it!  I think it turned out super cool :)

Everyday Moments

We were ready early one morning so Clay decided to drive his RC on the front driveway before school.

I couldn't resist popping this HP lego set into a recent Kmart order :)

We headed to the beach for fish & chips for a belated Mother's Day lunch with Nanny last weekend. Then went to try out a new ice cream shop.

This bird is so cheeky LOL

Clay saw a YouTube video about painting squishies- so decided to paint the kit he got for Easter.  He even mixed his own custom colours :)

Yesterday Clay spent the day at Nanny's with Darcie - they baked cupcakes and made chocolate crackles.

This morning Clay decided he wanted to try making loom bands.  I have a cupboard in my scraproom with kits and craft supplies just for Clay- so he popped down amd grabbed some supplies and watched some videos.

I spotted this gorgeous beetle on the verandah this morning.

Layouts

It seems I have found my scrapping mojo :) To be more productive I'm going to use layout sketches and try and scrap 2 of the same theme while I have papers and embelishments out. I was aslo super excited to find Spotlight has a new range of themed (school, travel, camping, etc) paper packs and embelishments - always fun to have new goodies!

Card

A birthday card for one of the guys at work.  They are all Star Wars fans, so I think I might need to add some stamps and dies to my collection (or stamp and cut more out next visit to Kristy's since she has a HUGE collection LOL).

Cards

I used the card kit I brought from the op shops to make this year's Mother's Day cards. The first card was the kit with some twine and bling added.  The 2nd card I added fabric flowers and a doiley.

Layouts

Don't be too shocked...but I have actually been scrapping!! I saw a few layout sketches that inspired me, so I started playing :)  I think it was a combination of being overwhelmed by how far behind I was and not having my monthly scrap day that lead to my lack of motivation.

Everyday Moments

Clay has been practising his baking skills at DEAFinitley Connected - ready to enter some cupcakes in the local show this month. They are delicious- will have to get the recipe to make some at home!

I went out to a work lunch to celebrate Larissa's 20 years with the company - I had the most delicious lemon coconut prawn curry!

We had breakfast out last Sunday - lovely way to start the morning :)

I planted my op shop succulents into the cute heart planter.

With Craig being away every 2nd week - Clay's been missing him, so they had a "Daddy & Clay" day on Monday (public holiday) and headed to the bowling alley to play arcade games and ride the dodgem cars.

Starting the morning off in the sun with a puzzle and drink of Milo.

Josh is starting a power washing business and asked if he could clean our back patio area for practice and pictures, so Lindalee came over to catch up while he eas working.  We chatted,  did some crafting then finished with some gaming on the switch LOL

I had a lovely Mother's Day today - Clay made / brought some lovely goodies from school stall and the boys spoilt me with my own game & controller and my fave chocolates.  We had a lovely relaxed day at home - just what I needed after a few busy weeks at work and socialising.
