Halloween 2024

We went to Splitters Farm "Night of Fright" for Halloween - Tabs, Torrie, Lindalee, Josh and Jax joined us.  There was a huanted house, disco area, food trucks and markets.  It was pretty disappointing (Tabs said it eas much bigger and better last year when she went). We did a a good time watching the kids explore it all and we got to catch up.

A huge storm was coming acros, so we headed back into town to grab dinner at a new to us pizza place and went home.  As we were driving home the storm hit, so Tabs and Torrie had dinner and waited out the storm with us.

World Festival of Magic

Clay got tickets again this year for the World Festival of Magic show.  The magician show was the same, but it was still great to watch and the jokes still made us laugh :)  This year's guest performer was a juggler and Clay thought he was amazing!

Everyday Moments

Last weekend we spent the morning at the beach with Tabs & Torrie.  There was a king high tide, so Tabs & I tried to teach the kids how to body surf :) We had fish & chips afterwards - it was a lovely day out!

One of the guys at work was trying a new print file and gave Tabs & I a dumpster for our desks LOL  I store business cards in mine.

A C130 Hercules landed at the airport, so Craig & Clay popped out to have a look.

I work with some cheeky techs - my poor Lego were not safe from their shenanigans LOL

Craig and Clay had an afternoon together to see "Wild Robots" at the movies yesterday.

Today we headed to Murgon to spend the day with Kristy and Boo - we took Craig's pizza oven and had yummy pizza for lunch and just spent the day chilling.

3D Print Creations

I printed a Darth Vader planter pot / pencil cup for Kristy, but the bottom did not print properly.  I did NOT want to waste a 10 hour print when the rest looked really good, so decided to cover the mistake with felt - I think it turned out perfect!

I also printed her a Star Trek drink coaster.

I also printed a ring to hold the foil tools for her Cricut tool holder - the 3x attachments usually just roll around the bottom of the holder.

Thrifty Thursday

We seem to be getting to the op shops a big more regularly lately :) Last Saturday we popped into 2 of my faves while out running errands.

At the first shop Clay found some books - Dogman $3 and Wimpy Kid 3 for $2 

I'm trying to find some dresses to wear around the house now it's gotten warmer and spotted this one $5 - when I got it home I realised it still had Target tag $35 - winning!

At the 2nd shop I got this basket $3 - big enough to store all the 3D printed items in.

DIY keyring and magnet set $2 - Craig's mum has a photo keyring of each of  the grand kids and asked for one a Clay since her old one broke.  I thought a keyring and magnet would be a cute extra with her birthday present next month.

I spotted this dress and fell in love with the pattern! It was $12 and I nearly didn't buy it as I wasn't sure I would be brave enough to wear something bold out in public, but I decided to just buy it :)
