World Festival of Magic

Wednesday night we took Clay to the world Festival of Magic.  We are so grateful to receive tickets every year. This year it was a new magician and new Illusions- Clay was so excited! He was disappointed he didn't get to up on stage though :)  We brought him a magic trick showbag there and he's been showing us tricks ever since LOL

Weekend in Yeppoon

Craig and I headed to Yeppoon last weekend to attend my uncle's service and burial.  We headed up Saturday, stopping in to see some of the military aircraft that are in town for an international training exercise.

Saturday afternoon Bec came over to the hotel and spent the afternoon chatting, having a few drinks and some nibblies.  We headed out to dinner with Bec, Dale, his brother and a friend.

Sunday morning we went for a drive to Emu Park to check out the location of the memorial service.

We had a lunch time catch up with my friend Nathan :)

The service and celebration of life was in the afternoon.  It was a lovely service and it was wonderful to catch up with family.  I haven't seen my brother, SIL and nieces in years and I finally got to meet my great - niece Ellie!  She's so cute and a real little cuddle monster :)  I was even surprised to see my dad there!

After the service Craig and I had ice cream before heading back to the hotel and having another catch up with Bec.

I did find a Kaisercraft and a scrapbook shop while we were in Yeppoon and did a little shopping ;)

Craftathon 2025

Once again FOMO got the best of me and I couldn't  resist ordering a cricut box from Craftathon - think it's the Cricut cutie that temps me the most LOL  I got it sent to Kristy's and it arrived while we were in the USA.  I probably won't do the online classes / projects, but just use it on my own projects. The colour temp changing vinyl looks fun- I haven't used that before.  Confession- I actually still have most of last year's box to play with too - oops! 

Everyday Moments

While we were in USA Craig's work had their annual awards night and his store won QLD Store of the Year!! This is 2nd year running - I'm so proud of him!  It's a shame he wasn't there to accept it but he's super pleased with his team.

Craig had a few days off after we got home, o while Clay and I went back to school & work he was sending me pics from the beach - tease LOL

I brought Tabs and I these candle making kits for a crafty girls night.

Christmas stock is in stores and I'm so freaking excited!! I decided to buy a small tree and decorate it in Disney theme. Not sure where I'm going to actually put it, but that's a future me problem LOL

After I decided to do the Disney tree Kmart  brought out this plush advent calendar - perfect! My local store didn't have it in stock, so Kristy picked it up for from her store.

I found these ornaments at Reject shop and they look exactly like the images on the Disney popcorn and drinks!

Someone shared this great idea on FB to display Cricut cuties- so I brought one of them from Kmart.

I ordered this sweet acrylic brooches off Ali Express.

USA Shopping & Souvenirs

I may have gone a little overboard with my shopping ;) I have zero regrets! LOL  Kristy was chasing Cricut brand supplies, so of course I had to go into the craft shops with her!  It was nice to have such a HUGE array of craft supplies to choose from!

Disney got us hooked on pin collecting - I think it's a great way to have a small souvenir from all the places we went / saw.  Clay has a good collection of pins also.

We brought a few different treats to bring home to try and to share.

Random goodies :)  I scored the Mickey head jack-o-lantern from Kristy - it was full of candy corn and thats all she wanted. How freaking cool is the chocolate frog pin I got from Universal Studios!?!

I really wanted to buy a Loungefly brand bag while I was at Disney, but I couldn't find any I LOVED (they are pretty expensive and I didn't want to just buy one for the sake of it).  I brought the black Mickey bag from Disney (Disney Park brand) and the re-usable castle shopping bag.  At the Sphere I found the Wiard of Oz Loungefly wallet.  I was surprised to find a HUGE collection of Lounefly bags at Funko and fell in love with Mickey one!

Lego from the Disney lego shop and Kristy found me the welcome to Vegas sign set in souvenir shop in Vegas.

These are just my goodies, Craig and Clay got their own souvenirs and we brought gifts home for family and friends :) Before we left Australia Craig saw a Jaws drink bottle at Universal Studios and said that was the souvenir he wanted. While we there we had completely forgotten about it...until I walked into the last gift shop with Kristy and spotted it - I quickly grabbed one - Clay was so pleased :)
