Clay's 11th Birthday

Clay was awake and ready to open presents at 5.30am this morning LOL We had filled his room with balloons the night before and put his presents in his desk, but dlhe decided he wanted to open them on our bed :)  He got his long awaited Yeti and Star Wars Loungefly bag, so was a happy boy.

We headed off to Clay's school for the Easter hat parade.  He took chocolate cupcakes to share with his class for his birthday.

Perfect timing - the new Super Mario Galaxy movie was released yesterday, so we headed to the movies to see it. I popped out yesterday morning when the cinema opened to try and get the new Yoshi popcorn bucket, but it was limited stock and the last one sold to the person before me.  I was lucky enough to get the Luma popcorn bucket and Clay was super excited - phew! LOL  We did turn the light off on the bucket before the movie started :)

After the movie he unboxed his Yoshi and we watched it hatch - such a cool idea.  It's a very chatty little toy and Clay loves it LOL

Everyday Moments

Craig's birthday cake #1 - from work 

Clay and I went to the annual Lifeline Bookfest on Saturday morning and managed to find some fabulous goodies. It was nice to go through looking at all the tables full of books and stuff.  Clay looked at the Children's books and toys and found some great harlequins.  I was hoping to find more Disney twisted tales or Fleur McDonald books, but no luck.

Birthday brunch for Craig on Sunday morning.

Then dinner at a new restaurant with Tabs & Torrie!  The meal was so delicious!

Craig went to Brisbane Monday for work and got birthday cake #2 LOL

Last week of pickleball for term 1.

Student of the Term

Clay recieved an award for student of the term for his class today!  We are so proud of all of his amazing achievements :)

Harry Potter Lego Book Sets

I found these HP Lego book scene sets online and couldn't resist!  I brought one to check quality and make sure it wasn't mini blocks LOL It was an easy and fun build, so I ordered 2 more sets :) I have the last 3 sets currently in transit and can't wait!

Lady Musgrave Island

Clay and the other 11 Reef Guardians from his school headed to Lady Musgrave Island for the day this morning-he was so excited and had been counting down the days :) We were at the marina by 6.30am and waited for all the other schools/ tourists to arrive and get checked in.  It's a 2 hour trip by catamaran to the Lady Musgrave HQ Pontoon.  Luckily Clay took travel meds and didn't get seasick, unfortunately the other kids did :( There was lots of activities- there is an underwater observatory, glass bottom boat, snorkelling, talks by marine biologists and a tour of the island.  Clay got to see 4 different turtles and some of them were endangered.  They had a very delicious morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea included.  They arrived back after 5pm with a slightly sunburnt and extremely tired, but very happy boy :)

Card

I wanted to make a goth / Wednesday Addams themed card for Tab's birthday - I think this turned out really well. This is my first card for the year! Tab's absolutely loved it :)  I think maybe I should have embossed the background to make the cake die stand out more.

Everyday Moments

Clay is improving every week at pickleball - it's great to see him enjoying this sport.

Weekend catch ups with Ma Ma :)

Lots of rain means mushrooms - not the usual cute ones, but still fun to see growing.

Ice cream after school when we picked the kids up early due to flooding :)

Clay has joined the gardening club at school and really seems to enjoy it.

I had a RDO last Monday - the puppies enjoyed a relaxed day at home with me - snuggling on Craig's chair LOL

Saturday brunch - delcious and a nice way to start off the weekend.

I was VERY excited to find another Disney Twisted Tales book $4 (and it's from the same shop I found the others - so I will have to keep popping in!) And Fleur McDonald $3 - I nearly have all of her books now :)

Clay's books $6 total - he's really enjoying the Funny Kid series, so we will keep an eye out for more :)
