Handmade Baby Shower Decorations

I wanted to make Kylie's baby shower special with some handmade decorations.  I started with pink spotted napkin bows and kraft paper bag & doiley owl thank you gift bags.

Kylie's Baby Shower

After lots of secret Pintrest boards and planning we finally celebrated an exciting day - Kylie's baby shower :)  Cathie & I arrived early and spent a few hours setting up.  Lots of handcrafted decorations - owl favours, tissue paper pom poms on the centre pieces, baby name banner, etc.  Cathie has a selphy printer so we set up a photo booth area with lots of fun props.  There was lots of chatting, party games, oohing and aahing over sweet baby gifts, yummy lunch, LOTS of photos and a delicious pink rossette cake.  It was a lovely day spent with wonderful women to celebrate such a special day :)

Kylie and Chloe popped over for a play date - how cute are these two?!?!

I'm embarassed to admit it, but I haven't put a layout in an album for over 4 years - I was just storing them in boxes or plastic ziplock bags :(  I was using post bound albums, but they weren't suitable - layouts were too thick and albums wouldn't shut, plus couldn't store more than 20 layouts.  I finally decided to go with ring albums and stocked up.  This is the result of  a few days of finally putting my layouts into albums!  I just have to buy one more album and I'm finished!  No more procrastinating!

I've been using this photo holder as a necklace holder, but the cream colour was getting lost on my wall.  I brought a gorgeous coloured doona cover recently and decided to spray paint the holder in a matching pink to suit.

Thrifty Thursday

It's been ages since I've managed to pop into any op shops.  I do have a few goodies that I found last month, but forgot to share :)

Christmas bibs $3/set, shirt $1 and swim nappy $1

2 sets of flash cards (one with words and one with illustrations) $2

MIL found me 12x12 Christmas paper pack (perfect find as I was just starting to look around shops for some Xmas papers) $2 and a 8x8 album $3

Meeting Santa

We were in Targets on the weekend and spotted Santa.  We thought we would see how Clay would react to him.  We stood for a bit introducing him to Santa - no screaming - that's good.  Then we popped him on Santa's lap - still no reaction - snapped lots of pics on our phones.  

Then....Clay thought it was a personal challenge to try and wrestle poor Santa's beard off - oops!  LOL

Now to buy Clay a cute Christmas outfit and get more Santa photos :D

I'm a bit behind sharing, but another 4 layouts I scrapped at the retreat last month :)

Clay @ 7 Months

We have messy meal at night - where Clay tries to feed himself - puts spoon in bowl and then to mouth.

Has started eating meat (poached chicken) with veges and meals are lumpy.

Reaches for and tries to drink from his sippy cup by himself.

Sitting by himself.

Reaches his arms up to be picked up.

Rolls from front to back.  Is starting to put legs under him - so won't be long till his starts crawling.

Sleeps on his side or front (which makes us nervous).

Loves giving slobbery kisses :)
