Fun at the Park
Craig's decided to take Clay and his trike down to the park a few days recently so he had lots of space to zoom around. He had a blast buzzing around the paths, then he spotted some bigger kids on bikes going over the jumps and of course our little Evil Knevil had to have a go too :)

Everyday Moments
Some more sensory play with the water beads and playdoh.
We recently convertted Clay's cot into a toddler bed (with a side rail). Of course he had to "help" daddy 😀
We took Clay to an ATSI (Aboriginal and Torres Stait Islander) family day so he could lwarn more about his heritage. He loved pqinting a boomerang, but started tjrowing a tanty when we tried to look at the other activities :( Cuddles and a snack didnt help, so we headed home.
A huge bucket of delicious passiomfruit off the vine on our back fence

Thrifty Thursday
Saturday morning after we went to the model railway club open day, I got the chance to pop into a few op shops :)
At the first shop I found this gorgeous butterfly dress - perfect for my friend Kristy (she's been looking for a dress to wear to a morning wedding next month). I sent her a picture and made a quick call and I snapped it up for a bargain price of $9.95.
The road tape and car set (new) $1 amd ninja cookie cutter 20c
Bag of Thomas the Tank Engine Duplo $5. Great timing just after our visit to the model railway!
Bag of playdoh tools 50c
Wooden alphabet toy $3
Have you found any goodies lately?

Sensory Play
I wanted to do something a bit different to our usual play activities so I brought a small bag of water beads off ebay. I only used 1/3 of the packet and soaked them during the day and found the re-hydrating process fascinating! Would definitely recommend it for older kids!
Once the beads were ready to go, we set them up in a shallow tray with a spoon and cup. Clay started off by just playing with them and picking up them up and naming the colour. Then he started putting them into the cup. Once I showed him the spoon, then he started spooning the beads into the cup. He happily played with them for over 40 minutes - definitely a successful play :) I've popped the beads with water into a series a sealed container ready for the next time.

Model Railway
This morning we took Clay to the Model Railway Club open day. He's been watching Thomas the Tank Engine and playing with his train set a lot more lately, so we thought he might like it - he loved it!! We moved around the different displays and watched the trains zooming around. There was so much to see - the details were amazing!! Clay did try and touch the trains going past a few times, but then settled down to just sit and watch them. We were there for an hour and Clay threw a tanty when it was time to go, so he would have been happy to stay longer. We are going to take him again next open day (and plan on staying longer lol).
